Abstract

A system utilizing high throughput significance map processing for CABAC in HEVC is described. The system includes a first and second electronic device. The first electronic device encodes a block of level values, and transmits a bitstream to the second electronic device based on the encoding. The second electronic device decodes the bitstream using a high throughput significance map processing technique in order to recover video data corresponding to the block.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A system, comprising:
 a first electronic device of a decoder, the first electronic device configured to: receive a bitstream; obtain a block of level values based on the received bitstream; identify a portion of level values according to a threshold; after identifying the portion, process any remaining ones of the level values using high throughput a significance map processing mode; and recover video data based on the processing.

         2 . The system of claim 1 , further comprising:
 a second electronic device of an encoder, the second electronic device configured to:
 transmit signaling to the first electronic device;
 wherein the signaling identifies the threshold.
