Abstract

A silk fiber based matrix composition comprising spider silk that can be biodegradable, from the spider species Nephila clavipes (or from genetically engineered bacteria making Nephila clavipes silk), and in the form of a mesh or film.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
We claim:

         1 . A silk-fiber-based matrix composition comprising spider silk.

2 . The matrix of claim 1 , wherein the spider silk is sericin extracted.

3 . The matrix of claim 1 , wherein the spider silk is biodegradable.

4 . The matrix of claim 1 , wherein the spider silk is dragline silk from an orb weaving spider.

5 . The matrix of claim 1 , wherein the spider silk is from the spider species Nephila clavipes.

6 . The matrix of claim 1 , wherein the matrix is in the form of a mesh.

7 . The matrix of claim 1 , wherein the matrix is in the form of a film.

8 . A silk-fiber-based matrix composition comprising spider silk, wherein the spider silk is biodegradable, from the spider species Nephila clavipes , and is in the form of a mesh or film.

9 . A silk-fiber-based matrix composition comprising spider silk made by genetically engineered bacteria, wherein the spider silk is biodegradable, is spider species Nephila clavipes silk made by the genetically engineered bacteria, and is in the form of a mesh or film.
