Dummy Suppressor Providing for Additional Accessories

Abstract

A method and apparatus for providing the aesthetic effect and functional qualities of a dummy suppressor or barrel extension while providing for the possibility of further attachments or accessories to be attached to the end of the extended barrel.

We claim: 
     
         1 . A dummy suppressor or barrel extension for a firearm or other dischargeable device comprising:
 A means for attaching to the barrel of said dischargeable device;   A means for providing for the attachment of further accessories or attachments to the end of the barrel;   
     
     
         2 . The dummy suppressor or barrel extension from  claim 1  wherein in said barrel is extended. 
     
     
         3 . The dummy suppressor or barrel extension from  claim 1  wherein said dummy suppressor or barrel extension allows for the attachment of an end accessory to the end of the extended barrel; 
     
     
         4 . The end accessory from  claim 3  wherein said end accessory redirects expulsion of gasses from the barrel; 
     
     
         5 . The end accessory from  claim 4 , wherein the redirection of expulsion of gasses from the barrel reduces or retards recoil of the firearm or other dischargeable device. 
     
     
         6 . The end accessory from  claim 4 , wherein the redirection of expulsion of gasses from the barrel reduces or retards the muzzle rise of the firearm or other dischargeable device. 
     
     
         7 . The end accessory from  claim 3  wherein said end accessory suppresses or hides the muzzle flare or flash of said dischargeable device. 
     
     
         8 . The end accessory from  claim 3  wherein said end accessory provides a function due to its configuration; 
     
     
         9 . The end accessory from  claim 8  wherein said configuration allows for ease in manipulating vegetation, wiring, or can be used as a striking weapon. 
     
     
         10 . The dummy suppressor or barrel extension from  claim 1  wherein said dummy suppressor or barrel extension allows for the attachment of an end cap. 
     
     
         11 . The end cap from  claim 10  whereby the addition of said end cap to the end of said dummy suppressor or barrel extension provides for an aesthetic improvement upon the dummy suppressor or barrel extension alone. 
     
     
         12 . A firearm or other dischargeable device comprising of:
 A mechanism for discharging ammunition from said device;   A barrel through which said ammunition is discharged;   A dummy suppressor or barrel extension connected to the end of said barrel wherein said dummy suppressor or barrel extension comprises of a means to attach a further end accessory or attachment to the end of the barrel.   
     
     
         13 . The end accessory from  claim 12  wherein said end accessory redirects expulsion of gasses from the barrel; 
     
     
         14 . The end accessory from  claim 13 , wherein the redirection of expulsion of gasses from the barrel reduces or retards recoil of the firearm or other dischargeable device.

         17 . The end accessory from  claim 12  wherein said end accessory provides a function due to its configuration;

         19 . The dummy suppressor or barrel extension from  claim 12  wherein said dummy suppressor or barrel extension allows for the attachment of an end cap; 
     
     
         20 . The end cap from  claim 19  whereby the addition of said end cap to the end of said dummy suppressor or barrel extension provides for an aesthetic improvement upon the dummy suppressor or barrel extension alone.
