Dispenser for absorbent paper tissue or nonwoven material

Abstract

A portable refillable dispenser for absorbent paper, tissue or nonwoven material, has a lower housing portion and an upper housing portion. The upper housing portion is connected via a first hinge to the lower housing portion, wherein the upper and lower housing portions, in a closed position, form a compartment for the absorbent tissue or nonwoven material and an inner dispensing opening there between and, in an open position, allow refilling of the dispenser. The dispenser has a lid connected with the upper and lower housing portions for holding the upper and lower housing portions together. The lid at least partially covers the inner dispensing opening from at least one direction. The lid is provided with an outer dispensing opening. The absorbent paper, tissue or nonwoven material is dispensable via the inner and outer dispensing openings.

A portable refillable dispenser for absorbent paper, tissue or nonwoven material, comprising a lower housing portion and an upper housing portion, said upper housing portion being connected via a first hinge to said lower housing portion, wherein said upper and lower housing portions, in a closed position, form a compartment for said absorbent paper, tissue or nonwoven material and an inner dispensing opening therebetween and, in an open position, allow refilling of said dispenser with said absorbent paper, tissue or nonwoven material, said dispenser further comprising a lid connected with said upper and lower housing portions for holding said upper and lower housing portions together in said closed position and for at least partially covering said inner dispensing opening from at least one direction, said lid being provided with an outer dispensing opening, wherein said inner and outer dispensing openings are disposed such that said absorbent paper, tissue or nonwoven material is dispensable via said inner and outer dispensing openings. 
     
     
         2 . The dispenser according to  claim 1 , wherein said compartment in said closed position is enclosed with the exception of said inner dispensing opening. 
     
     
         3 . The dispenser according to  claim 1 , wherein said upper housing portion is provided with a handle for carrying said dispenser. 
     
     
         4 . The dispenser according to  claim 1 , wherein said lid is connected by means of a second hinge either to said upper or to said lower housing portion and by means of a releasable connection to the other of said upper and said lower housing portion. 
     
     
         5 . The dispenser according to  claim 3 , wherein the weight of said lower housing portion and said absorbent paper, tissue or nonwoven material is transferred via said first hinge and said lid to said upper housing portion when said dispenser is suspended from said handle. 
     
     
         6 . The dispenser according to  claim 1 , wherein said lid is provided with a lock for locking said lid to one of said upper and lower housing portions. 
     
     
         7 . The dispenser according to  claim 1 , wherein said lid is provided with a closing hatch for said outer dispensing opening. 
     
     
         8 . The dispenser according to  claim 7 , wherein said closing hatch is slidably arranged on or in said lid. 
     
     
         9 . The dispenser according to  claim 1 , wherein said lid is provided with a drainage arrangement in connection with said outer dispensing opening, and wherein said drainage arrangement is arranged for diverting liquid to an outside of said dispenser. 
     
     
         10 . The dispenser according to  claim 1 , wherein a chamber is formed between said lid and at least said upper housing portion. 
     
     
         11 . The dispenser according to  claim 10 , wherein said upper housing portion, in said chamber, is provided with a channel system for diverting liquid away from said inner dispensing opening. 
     
     
         12 . The dispenser according to  claim 1 , wherein said outer dispensing opening has a smaller width than a width of said absorbent paper, tissue or nonwoven material inside said compartment. 
     
     
         13 . The dispenser according to  claim 1 , wherein said compartment is adapted to contain a roll of said absorbent paper, tissue or nonwoven material. 
     
     
         14 . The dispenser according to  claim 13 , comprising a drive roller at said inner dispensing opening adapted to abut said roll of absorbent paper, tissue or nonwoven material to thereby rotate substantially at the same peripheral speed as said roll of absorbent paper, tissue or nonwoven material when paper, tissue or nonwoven material is dispensed. 
     
     
         15 . The dispenser according to  claim 1 , wherein said compartment is adapted to contain a stack of sheets of said absorbent paper, tissue or nonwoven material. 
     
     
         16 . The dispenser according to  claim 1 , wherein said lid forms part of a substantially vertical side surface of said dispenser. 
     
     
         17 . The dispenser according to  claim 1 , wherein said lower housing portion forms a liquid tight trough.
