Abstract
A display device includes a display panel including a front substrate and a back substrate, a plurality of first brackets attached to a non-display area of a back surface of the back substrate using an adhesive, a frame disposed in the rear of the display panel, an optical layer disposed between the frame and the display panel, a light guide plate disposed between the frame and the optical layer, a light source disposed on the side of the light guide plate, a second bracket disposed on the plurality of first brackets, and a connection frame including a first portion inserted into a hole or a groove of each of the plurality of first brackets and a second portion connected to the second bracket.

1 . A display apparatus, comprising
a panel having at least one substrate; at least one input interface configured to receive signals from at least one external device; a controller configured to process the signals and to control an operation of the panel; a plurality of first brackets adhered to the panel by an adhesive, each first bracket having a first surface where the adhesive is applied, and a first protrusion extending from a second surface, the first and second surfaces being opposite surfaces; a frame provided over the plurality of first brackets; a back light provided between the panel and the frame; a back cover, the frame being provided between the back light and the back cover; and a side cover extending in at least one of first direction or a second direction and having a first portion of the side cover provided adjacent to the panel and a second portion extending beyond a rear surface of the panel in a third direction, the back cover being connected to the side portion.
2 . The display apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the back cover is connected to the side cover by a fastener.
3 . The display apparatus of claim 2 , wherein the fastener is a screw or a hook.
4 . The display apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of first brackets is configured to support at least one of the frame or the back light.
5 . The display apparatus of claim 1 further comprising a protective layer provided between the front portion of the side cover and the panel.
6 . The display apparatus of claim 5 , wherein the protective layer is a gasket sandwiched between the panel and the first portion of the side cover.
7 . The display apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the at least one substrate comprises a front panel and a rear panel and a plurality of liquid crystals provided between the front and rear panels.
8 . The display apparatus of claim 1 , wherein each of the plurality of first brackets includes a second protrusion extending from the first protrusion.
9 . The display apparatus of claim 8 further comprising at least one second bracket provided adjacent to the plurality of first brackets, and the second bracket having at least one ledge provided over the second protrusion of the first bracket.
10 . The display apparatus of claim 9 further comprising at least one connection bracket having a side wall extending in a third direction and a portion extending from the side wall in the second direction, the first, second and third directions being perpendicular to each other.
11 . The display apparatus of claim 10 , wherein the portion is adjacent and parallel to the second protrusion of the first bracket, the portion of at least one connection bracket being closer to a rear of the panel.
12 . The display apparatus of claim 10 , wherein the at least one connection bracket and the frame are fastened to each other
13 . The display apparatus of claim 12 , wherein a screw is used to fasten the at least one connection bracket and the frame.
14 . The display apparatus of claim 8 , wherein the first and second protrusions form an inverted L-shape.
15 . The display apparatus of claim 9 , wherein the at least one ledge comprises a first ledge and a second ledge, the second ledge extending from the first ledge.
16 . The display apparatus of claim 9 , wherein the at least one ledge is configured to provide support for at least one of the optical sheet or the light guide.
17 . The display apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the side cover includes a sidewall and at least one overhang portion provided on the second portion of the side cover, the overhang portion being configured to allow the back cover to be fastened to the side cover.
18 . The display apparatus of claim 17 , wherein the at least one overhang portion has a hook shape.Cited by (0)
