Remote controller supporting system and method for displaying function of key being mapped with remote controller

Abstract

Provided is a remote controller supporting system and method that may display, on objects included in a webpage, keys of a remote controller corresponding to the objects and manipulation schemes, respectively. The remote controller supporting system may include: a profile storage unit to store a plurality of profiles containing functions of the remote controller and information associated with the functions of the remote controller; a receiver to receive an input signal from the remote controller, and to interpret a meaning of the input signal based on a profile corresponding to the remote controller; an event unit to transform the meaning of the input signal to an event form; and a presentation unit to access a web server to display a webpage, to transform, to a predetermined behavior, at least one event transformed by the event unit, and to request the web server for an operation corresponding to the behavior.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A system for supporting a remote device, the system comprising,
 at least one processor configured to:   receive an input of the remote device selected by a user;   identify a event of a remote device indicating the input of the remote device;   determine a behavior matching the event by comparing the event with behaviors in the behavior list;   transmit an operation to display a controllable objects associated with the determined behavior in the web page, to the web server.   
     
     
         2 . The system of  claim 1 , the processor further classifies a plurality of objects to be displayed in the web page into controllable object and uncontrollable object based on attributes of the objects, and generates the operation to display the controllable objects together with indication of the remote controller corresponding to the controllable objects. 
     
     
         3 . The system of  claim 1 , the processor further analyzes input of the remote device using a
 profile of the remote device,   wherein the profile is related to function of the remote device.   
     
     
         4 . The system of  claim 3 , wherein the profiles is updated by a new profile and the new profile is downloaded from an external storage. 
     
     
         5 . The system of  claim 1 , when the remote device is not defined, receiving a predetermined pattern to identify the remote device. 
     
     
         6 . The system of  claim 1 , wherein the web page displays the controllable objects and key of the remote device to manipulate the controllable objects. 
     
     
         7 . The system of  claim 1 , wherein the event of the remote device is determined based to at least one of a type and a number of times related to key of the remote device. 
     
     
         8 . A method for supporting a remote device, the method comprising,
 receiving an input of the remote device selected by a user;   identifying an event of a remote device indicating the input of the remote device;   determining a behavior matching the event by comparing the event with behaviors in the behavior list;   transmitting an operation to display a controllable objects associated with the determined behavior in the web page, to the web server.   
     
     
         9 . The method of  claim 8 , the method further comprises classifying a plurality of objects to be displayed in the web page into controllable object and uncontrollable object based on attributes of the objects, and generating the operation to display the controllable objects together with indication of the remote controller corresponding to the controllable objects. 
     
     
         10 . The method of  claim 8 , the method further comprises analyzing input of the remote device using a profile of the remote device,
 wherein the profile is related to function of the remote device.   
     
     
         11 . The method of  claim 10 , wherein the profiles is updated by a new profile and the new profile is downloaded from an external storage. 
     
     
         12 . The method of  claim 8 , when the remote device is not defined, receiving a predetermined pattern to identify the remote device. 
     
     
         13 . The method of  claim 8 , wherein the web page displays the controllable objects and key of the remote device to manipulate the controllable objects. 
     
     
         14 . The method of  claim 8 , wherein the event of the remote device is determined based to at least one of a type and a number of times related to key of the remote device.
