Abstract
Luminance levels of a backlight 3 corresponding to gradations of a display image are registered as reference luminance values to a table 5 a, signal levels of a drive signal to an LED driver 4 corresponding to reference luminance values are registered as luminance setting values to a table 6 a, and values to correct a drive level of a liquid-crystal panel corresponding to gradations of the display image are registered as gamma correction values to a table 7 a. According to the gradation of an image to be displayed, a signal level of the drive signal corresponding to the reference luminance value attained from the table 5 a is obtained from the table 6 a, to thereby drive the LED driver 4; and an LCD driver 2 is driven by a value obtained through correction by the gamma correction value obtained from the table 7 a, to thereby display an image.

a controller controlling display quality of a liquid crystal display on the basis of a control value according to a gradation of image data to be displayed.
2 . The mobile phone terminal in accordance with claim 1 ,
wherein the control value is a luminance value of a backlight.

wherein the control value is a gamma correction value.
4 . The mobile phone terminal in accordance with any one of claims 1 to 3 , further comprising a control value table registering the control values corresponding to a gradation of image data to be displayed.
5 . The mobile phone terminal in accordance with claim 4 , further comprising a plurality of setting means for control values,
wherein the control values on the control value table are corrected according to an input of the setting means for control values.
6 . The mobile phone terminal in accordance with claim 4 , further comprising a plurality of setting means for control values, and a plurality of control value tables corresponding to the setting means for control values.
7 . The mobile phone terminal in accordance with claim 2 ,
wherein a driving signal to drive the backlight is controlled according to the luminance value.
8 . The mobile phone terminal in accordance with claim 7 , further
comprising a backlight luminance setting value table registering the driving signal.
9 . The mobile phone terminal in accordance with claim 8 , further comprising a plurality of setting means for control values,
wherein the driving signals on the backlight luminance setting value table are corrected according to an input of the setting means for control values.
