Abstract
A device includes a housing, a support member, and a fastener. The housing defines a recess and includes a protrusion extending from a bottom of the recess. The height of the protrusion is less than a depth of the recess. The protrusion defines a fastening hole extending therethrough. The support member is retained within the housing and defines a through hole. The fastener extends through the through hole of the support member and is screwed into the fastening hole to secure the support member to the housing.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A device comprising:
a housing defining a recess and comprising a protrusion extending from a bottom of the recess, wherein the height of the protrusion is less than a depth of the recess, the protrusion defines a fastening hole extending therethrough; a support member retained within the housing and defining a through hole; and a fastener extending through the through hole of the support member and being screwed into the fastening hole to secure the support member to the housing.
2 . The device as described in claim 1 , wherein the housing comprises a cover and a base coupled with each other, and the recess and the protrusion are formed on a surface of the cover opposite to the base.
3 . The device as described in claim 2 , wherein the device is an optical disc player.
4 . The device as described in claim 3 , wherein the support member is configured to support some of the electronic components retained within the housing.
5 . The device as described in claim 2 , wherein the housing the recess and the protrusion are formed by stamping.
6 . The device as described in claim 2 , wherein the cover defines a positioning hole adjacent to the fastening hole, and the support member comprises a positioning post extending through the positioning hole.
7 . The device as described in claim 2 , wherein the fastener comprises a head, and a shank connected to the head, extending through the through hole of the support member and being screwed into the fastening hole, and a diameter of the shank is less than the diameter of the head.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
