. The device of claim 11 wherein the cylindrical housing is formed with a twistable bottom end to allow the end of the pen used for writing to protrude from and recede into the bottom end through the centrally disposed opening when the bottom end is twisted.
. The device of claim 12 wherein the retaining space includes one of the hollow poles of the umbrella.
. The device according to claim 13 additionally comprising a removable cap formed and positioned to close the top end of the housing.
. A miniature umbrella and integral pen comprising (a) a hollow, elongated, cylindrical housing having an open top end and a bottom end tapering to a point forming a centrally disposed opening, the bottom end defining a retaining space formed to contain a pen, the cylindrical housing being formed with a twistable bottom end to allow the end of the pen used for writing to protrude from and recede into the bottom end through the centrally disposed opening when the bottom end is twisted, (b) a pen, formed and positioned within the retaining space such that the end of the pen used for writing is able to protrude through the centrally disposed opening, and (c) a collapsible, foldable miniature umbrella having a foldable canopy and a plurality of telescoping, hollow, support poles attached at one end to the canopy, the umbrella being sized and formed to fit within the housing in its folded and collapsed position and to extend through the open top end of the housing and expand to an outwardly expanded position so that the umbrella covers the device user's head and shoulders when held in an upright and overhead position.
. The device of claim 15 wherein the retaining space includes one of the hollow poles of the umbrella.
. The device according to claim 16 additionally comprising a removable cap formed and positioned to close the top end of the housing.
. A miniature umbrella and integral pen comprising (a) a hollow, elongated, cylindrical housing having an open top end and a bottom end tapering to a point forming a centrally disposed opening, the bottom end defining a retaining space formed to contain a pen, the cylindrical housing being formed with a twistable bottom end to allow the end of the pen used for writing to protrude from and recede into the bottom end through the centrally disposed opening when the bottom end is twisted, (b) a pen, formed and positioned within the retaining space such that the end of the pen used for writing is able to protrude through the centrally disposed opening, (c) a collapsible, foldable miniature umbrella having a foldable canopy and a plurality of telescoping, hollow, support poles attached at one end to the canopy, the umbrella being sized and formed to fit within the housing in its folded and collapsed position and to extend through the open top end of the housing and expand to an outwardly expanded position so that the umbrella covers the device user's head and shoulders when held in an upright and overhead position, and (d) a removable cap formed and positioned to close the top end of the housing.Cited by (0)
