Method for applying cosmetic material using applicator having concave apical surface
Abstract
A method for uniformly transferring a powder cosmetic material to the face of a user includes: providing a cosmetic powder applicator having a bristle material with a concave apical surface having a shape approximating a curved surface of the face of a user; pressing the concave apical surface onto a cosmetic material surface of a cosmetic container and moving the bristle material back and forth multiple times, thereby roughly uniformly transferring the cosmetic material onto the concave apical surface; and transferring the cosmetic material from the concave apical surface to the facial skin of the user while pressing the facial skin with the concave apical surface at roughly a uniform pressure.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A method for uniformly transferring a powder cosmetic material to the face of a user, comprising:
providing a cosmetic powder applicator for application of a powdery cosmetic material containing fine powder, comprised of a handle part and a brush part constituted by a bristle material implanted on the handle part, wherein the bristle material of the brush part extends upward from the handle part, and the radially outermost distal end of the bristle material forms a horizontally shaped outer periphery with respect to the handle part, from which outer periphery a shape gradually concaving toward the center axis of the brush part is formed, forming a concave apical surface of the brush material onto which the powder cosmetic material is transferred in use, said concave apical surface having a shape approximating a curved surface of the face of a user on which the powdery cosmetic material is applied; pressing the distal end of the bristle material onto a cosmetic material surface of a cosmetic container and moving the bristle material back and forth multiple times to transfer the cosmetic material from the cosmetic container first onto near the outer periphery of the distal end of the bristle material and then onto the concave apical surface of the bristle material, thereby roughly uniformly transferring the cosmetic material onto the distal end of the bristle material; and transferring the cosmetic material from the distal end of the bristle material to the facial skin of the user while pressing the facial skin with the distal end of the bristle material at roughly a uniform pressure.
2 . A method according to claim 1 , wherein the concave apical surface has a reverse cone shape.
3 . A method according to claim 1 , wherein the concave apical surface is a curved surface.
4 . A method according to claim 1 , wherein the concave apical surface is constituted by concentric steps.
5 . A method according to claim 1 , wherein the concave ratio of the concave apical surface is approx. 0.05 to approx. 0.3.
6 . A method according to claim 1 , wherein the cosmetic material is solid powder made by mixing a fine powder with an average grain size of 0.1 to 10 μm with an oil-based component.Cited by (0)
