Abstract

System(s) and method(s) to incentivize adoption of time-dependent customized insurance benefit(s) are provided. A provider of insurance benefit(s) incentivizes adoption of the insurance benefit(s) in exchange for knowledge of operation characteristics of an insured entity. Knowledge is cumulative and collected from the insured entity and environment in which the entity operates. Incentivation is accomplished at least in part through generation of incentive offer(s) based on available knowledge, which is associated with an operator of the insured entity rather than with the entity itself. The operator can regulate the scope of exchanged knowledge, and received incentive offer(s) and related content. Incentive offer(s) can be directed to provision of insurance benefit coverage that is adequate to current or nearly current operation condition(s); discounted real-time or nearly real-time insurance benefits; or subsidized service(s). Offered incentives can be afforded at least in part through monetization of available knowledge via commercialization thereof or targeted advertisement.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

         1 . A system, comprising:
 a memory having stored thereon computer executable components; and a processor that executes at least the following computer executable components:
 a performance collection component configured to collect, in real-time or near real-time, intrinsic information and extrinsic information regarding a vehicle;
 an information management component configured to create an inference regarding future parameters of the vehicle based on the intrinsic information, the extrinsic information, or combinations thereof;
 a benefit generation component configured to generate a third-party advertisement based on at least one of the intrinsic information, the extrinsic information, or the inference;
 a benefit display component configured to display the third-party advertisement; and
 an interface configured to receive a user input in response to the third-party advertisement.

         2 . The system of claim 1 , further comprising an information regulation component configured to regulate the intrinsic information, the extrinsic information, the inference, or combinations thereof.

         3 . The system for of claim 2 , further comprising an election component configured to receive or send the intrinsic information, the extrinsic information, and the inference in accordance with a configurable privacy criteria.

         4 . The system of claim 2 , wherein the information regulation component is further configured to regulate a timing for sending the third-party advertisement to the benefit display component based, at least in part, on a suitable operating condition.

         5 . The system of claim 2 , wherein the information regulation component is configured to send an instruction for the benefit display component to wait to send the third-party advertisement until the vehicle is stopped.

         6 . The system of claim 2 , further comprising a collection component configured to determine the vehicle is stopped based on at least one of a camera and a speedometer reading, wherein the information regulation component causes the third-party advertisement to be sent to the benefit display component when the vehicle is stopped.

         7 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the inference regarding future parameters of the vehicle is an expected destination of the vehicle.

         8 . The system of claim 7 , wherein the expected destination of the vehicle is based at least in part on historical information.

         9 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the benefit display component is coupled to the vehicle.

         10 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the benefit display component is a mobile device.

         11 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the intrinsic information comprises a location, a velocity, an acceleration, a deceleration, an operational condition, or combinations thereof.

         12 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the extrinsic information comprises data related to an operator of the vehicle, one or more occupants of the vehicle, environmental factors, or combinations thereof

         13 . A method, comprising:
 offering an incentive to an insured person for permission to collect near real-time information regarding a vehicle; collecting the near real-time information through performance collection components associated with the vehicle; developing at least one inference regarding future parameters of the vehicle based on the near real-time information; providing the near real-time information and the at least one inference to a third-party; generating a third-party advertisement based on the near real-time information, the at least one inference, or information received from the third-party; displaying the third-party advertisement on a display component located in the vehicle; and billing the third-party according to an agreement.

         14 . The method of claim 13 , wherein the display component is coupled to the vehicle or is a mobile device that is selectively removable from the vehicle.

         15 . The method of claim 13 , wherein the near real-time information comprises at least one of a location, a velocity, an acceleration, a deceleration, an operational, data related to at least one occupant of the vehicle, or environmental information.

         16 . The method of claim 13 , further comprising receiving an input from a user of the vehicle, wherein the input is a response to the third-party advertisement.

         17 . The method of claim 16 , wherein the billing the third-party comprises at least one of a billing model, a billing cycle, and a promotional term, and the method further comprises adjusting the billing based on the input from the user.

         18 . The method of claim 13 , wherein the providing the near real-time information and the at least one inference to the third-party is regulated according to privacy settings.

         19 . The method of claim 18 , wherein the privacy settings are determined by the insured person, and the incentive offered to the insured person is based on the privacy settings.

         20 . A computer-readable storage device storing computer-executable instructions that, in response to execution, cause a system comprising a processor to perform operations, comprising:
 collecting performance information that comprises intrinsic data related to a vehicle and extrinsic data related to the vehicle or to an environment; developing an inference related to future parameters of the vehicle based on performance information; generating a third-party advertisement based on the inference and the performance information; displaying the third-party advertisement; receiving a response to the third-party advertisement; and billing a third-party based on the performance information, the inference, the response, or combinations thereof.
