Abstract
A method comprising detecting, by a processor of a computing system, a presence of an online advertisement on a website that displays a submission, and distributing, by the processor, a portion of proceeds generated by a placement of the online advertisement on the website to an owner of the submission, wherein the portion or proceeds is in accordance with at least one of a pre-existing and a newly created agreement is provided. Furthermore, an associated computer program product and computer system is also provided.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A method comprising:
detecting, by a processor of a computing system, a presence of an online advertisement on a website that displays a submission; and distributing, by the processor, a portion of proceeds generated by a placement of the online advertisement on the website to an owner of the submission, wherein the portion or proceeds is in accordance with at least one of a pre-existing and a newly created agreement.
2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the website is an authorized website.
3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the pre-existing, and the newly created agreement is at least one of:
between an owner of the submission and a search engine; and among the owner of the submission, the website, and a search engine;
wherein the search engine is executed by the processor of computing system.
4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein detecting the presence of the online advertisement is done over a network.
5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the computing system further includes an authentication system and a monitoring system.
6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the submission is selected from the group consisting of: a copyrightable work, a literary work, a musical work, portrait image, property image, a dramatic work, a pictorial work, a graphic work, a motion picture, an audio visual work, a sound recording, an article, a text-based work, a derivative work, a compilation, and a digital image.
7 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:
creating, by the processor, a user account; presenting, by the processor, the user with an agreement; notifying, by the processor, the user of the presence; and transmitting, by the processor, a legal notice if an unauthorized presence of the submission is not removed from the website.
8 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:
storing, by the processor, payment information on the computer-readable storage medium; detecting, by the processor, the online advertisement at a location over a network; determining, by the processor, the portion of the proceeds; and generating, by the processor, a time stamp to record at least one of a time and date when the submission was received by the processor executing the authentication system.
9 . A computer program product, comprising a non-transitory computer readable storage device storing a computer readable program code, said computer readable program code comprising an algorithm that when executed by a computer processor of a computing system implements a method comprising:
detecting, by a processor of a computing system, a presence of an online advertisement on a website that displays a submission; and distributing, by the processor, a portion of proceeds generated by a placement of the online advertisement on the website to an owner of the submission, wherein the portion or proceeds is in accordance with at least one of a pre-existing and a newly created agreement.
10 . The computer program product of claim 9 , wherein the website is an authorized website.
11 . The computer program product of claim 9 , wherein the pre-existing, and the newly created agreement is at least one of:
between an owner of the submission and a search engine; and among the owner of the submission, the website, and a search engine;
wherein the search engine is executed by the processor of computing system.
12 . The computer program product of claim 9 , wherein detecting the presence of the online advertisement is done over a network.
13 . The computer program product of claim 9 , wherein the computing system further includes an authentication system and a monitoring system.
14 . The computer program product of claim 9 , wherein the submission is selected from the group consisting of: a copyrightable work, a literary work, a musical work, portrait image, property image, a dramatic work, a pictorial work, a graphic work, a motion picture, an audio visual work, a sound recording, an article, a text-based work, a derivative work, a compilation, and a digital image.
15 . The computer program product of claim 9 , further comprising:
creating, by the processor, a user account; presenting, by the processor, the user with an agreement; notifying, by the processor, the user of the presence; and transmitting, by the processor, a legal notice if an unauthorized presence of the submission is not removed from the website.
16 . The computer program product of claim 9 , further comprising:
storing, by the processor, payment information on the computer-readable storage medium; detecting, by the processor, the online advertisement at a location over a network; determining, by the processor, the portion of the proceeds; and generating, by the processor, a time stamp to record at least one of a time and date when the submission was received by the processor executing the authentication system.
17 . A computing system comprising a computer processor coupled to a computer-readable storage device, said storage device containing instructions that when executed by the processor implements a method comprising:
detecting, by a processor of a computing system, a presence of an online advertisement on a website that displays a submission; and distributing, by the processor, a portion of proceeds generated by a placement of the online advertisement on the website to an owner of the submission, wherein the portion or proceeds is in accordance with at least one of a pre-existing and a newly created agreement.
18 . The computing system of claim 17 , wherein the website is an authorized website.
19 . The computing system of claim 17 , wherein the pre-existing, and the newly created agreement is at least one of:
between an owner of the submission and a search engine; and among the owner of the submission, the website, and a search engine;
wherein the search engine is executed by the processor of computing system.
20 . The computing system of claim 17 , wherein detecting the presence of the online advertisement is done over a network.
21 . The computing system of claim 17 , wherein the computing system further includes an authentication system and a monitoring system.
22 . The computing system of claim 17 , wherein the submission is selected from the group consisting of: a copyrightable work, a literary work, a musical work, portrait image, property image, a dramatic work, a pictorial work, a graphic work, a motion picture, an audio visual work, a sound recording, an article, a text-based work, a derivative work, a compilation, and a digital image.
23 . The computing system of claim 17 , further comprising:
creating, by the processor, a user account; presenting, by the processor, the user with an agreement; notifying, by the processor, the user of the presence; and transmitting, by the processor, a legal notice if an unauthorized presence of the submission is not removed from the website.
24 . The computing system of claim 17 , further comprising:
storing, by the processor, payment information on the computer-readable storage medium; detecting, by the processor, the online advertisement at a location over a network; determining, by the processor, the portion of the proceeds; and generating, by the processor, a time stamp to record at least one of a time and date when the submission was received by the processor executing the authentication system.Cited by (0)
