Abstract

A user can obtain a list of products previously purchased at a store where the user is presently shopping via the user's mobile device. The user can use this list to determine if any of the products previously purchased should again be purchased on the present shopping trip. For example, the user can choose from an app on the mobile device to view products purchased by location. A location based shopping list system can then determine at which store the user is shopping based upon a GPS location provided by the user's mobile device. The location based shopping list system can then return the list of product previously purchased at that store.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A system comprising:
 a memory storing account information for a user, the account information including a list of shopping locations for the user and a list of products previously purchased at each of the shopping locations;   one or more processors operable to:
 receive a communication from the user including information representative of a present shopping location of the user and a request for a list of products previously purchased related to the present shopping location; 
 access the account information of the user; 
 find the present shopping location from the list of shopping locations; 
 retrieve the list of products previously purchased at the present shopping location; and 
 send the list of products previously purchased related to the present shopping location to the user. 
   
     
     
         2 . The system of  claim 1 , wherein the list of products previously purchased comprises a list of products previously purchased during a last visit by the user to the present shopping location. 
     
     
         3 . The system of  claim 1 , wherein the list of products previously purchased comprises a list of products previously purchased during one or more previous visits by the user to the present shopping location. 
     
     
         4 . The system of  claim 1 , wherein the list of products previously purchased comprises a list of products previously purchased from one or more stores of a same merchant as a store at the present location of the user but at one or more different locations. 
     
     
         5 . The system of  claim 1 , wherein the information representative of the present shopping location is a GPS location of a mobile device of the user and the processor is operative to determine the present shopping location from the GPS location. 
     
     
         6 . The system of  claim 1 , wherein the request for the list of products previously purchased at the present shopping location is a request for a list of products of a specified type. 
     
     
         7 . The system of  claim 1 , wherein the processor is operative to retrieve lists of products previously purchased at locations other than the present shopping location and return the lists of products previously purchased at locations other than the present shopping location to the user. 
     
     
         8 . A method comprising:
 storing, in a memory, account information for a user, the account information including a list of shopping locations for the user and a list of products previously purchased at each of the shopping locations;   receiving, electronically by one or more processors, a communication from the user including information representative of a present shopping location of the user and a request for a list of products previously purchased related to the present shopping location;   accessing, electronically by the processor(s), the account information of the user;   finding, electronically by the processor(s), the present shopping location from the list of shopping locations;   retrieving, electronically by the processor(s), the list of products previously purchased at the present shopping location; and   sending, electronically by the processor(s), the list of products previously purchased related to the present shopping location to the user.   
     
     
         9 . The method of  claim 8 , wherein the list of products previously purchased comprises a list of products previously purchased during a last visit by the user to the present shopping location. 
     
     
         10 . The method of  claim 8 , wherein the list of products previously purchased the shopping locations comprises a list of products previously purchased during one or visits by the user to the present shopping location. 
     
     
         11 . The method of  claim 8 , wherein the list of products previously purchased comprises a list of products previously purchased from one or more stores of a same merchant as a store at the present location of the user buy at one or more different locations. 
     
     
         12 . The method of  claim 8 , wherein the information representative of the present shopping location is a GPS location of a mobile device of the user and the processor is operative to determine the present shopping location from the GPS location. 
     
     
         13 . The method of  claim 8 , wherein the request for the list of products previously purchased at the present shopping location is a request for a list of products of a specified type. 
     
     
         14 . The system of  claim 8 , wherein the processor is operative to retrieve lists of products previously purchased at locations other than the present shopping location and return the lists of products previously purchased at locations other than the present shopping location to the user. 
     
     
         15 . A computer program product comprising a non-transitory computer readable medium having computer readable and executable code for instructing a processor to perform a method, the method comprising:
 storing, in a memory, account information for a user, the account information including a list of shopping locations for the user and a list of products previously purchased at each of the shopping locations;   receiving, electronically by one or more processors, a communication from the user including information representative of a present shopping location of the user and a request for a list of products previously purchased related to the present shopping location;   accessing, electronically by the processor(s), the account information of the user;   finding, electronically by the processor(s), the present shopping location from the list of shopping locations;   retrieving, electronically by the processor(s), the list of products previously purchased at the present shopping location; and   sending, electronically by the processor(s), the list of products previously purchased related to the present shopping location to the user.   
     
     
         16 . The computer program product of  claim 15 , wherein the list of products previously purchased comprises a list of products previously purchased during a last visit by the user to the present shopping location. 
     
     
         17 . The computer program product of  claim 15 , wherein the list of products previously purchased the shopping locations comprises a list of products previously purchased during one or visits by the user to the present shopping location. 
     
     
         18 . The computer program product of  claim 15 , wherein the list of products previously purchased comprises a list of products previously purchased from one or more stores of a same merchant as a store at the present location of the user buy at one or more different locations. 
     
     
         19 . The computer program product of  claim 15 , wherein the information representative of the present shopping location is a GPS location of a mobile device of the user and the processor is operative to determine the present shopping location from the GPS location. 
     
     
         20 . The computer program product of  claim 15 , wherein the request for the list of products previously purchased at the present shopping location is a request for a list of products of a specified type. 
     
     
         21 . The computer program product of  claim 15 , wherein the processor is operative to retrieve lists of products previously purchased at locations other than the present shopping location and return the lists of products previously purchased at locations other than the present shopping location to the user.
