Abstract
A retail shower door display assembly is provided with a point-of-sale display unit sized to be received within a retail store aisle. An array of various shower door frames is oriented within the display unit. An array of various shower door glass panes is oriented within the display unit. A method for displaying shower door assemblies for retail is provided by displaying various shower door frames for purchaser selection. Various shower door glass panes are provided for purchaser selection independent of the shower door frames.

1 . A retail shower door display assembly comprising:
a point-of-sale display unit sized to be received within a retail store aisle; an array of various shower door frames oriented within the display unit; and an array of various shower door glass panes oriented within the display unit.
2 . The retail shower door display assembly of claim 1 wherein at least one of the arrays are each mounted for translation to the display unit to permit manual extension from and retraction to the display unit.
3 . The retail shower door display assembly of claim 1 wherein each of the various shower door frames is packaged separately.
4 . The retail shower door display assembly of claim 1 wherein each of the various shower door glass panes is packaged separately.
5 . The retail shower door display assembly of claim 1 wherein the array of various shower door frames is oriented within a first region of the display unit; and
wherein the array of various shower door glass panes is oriented in a second region of the display unit adjacent to the first region.
6 . The retail shower door display assembly of claim 5 further comprising an array of various shower hardware accessories oriented within a third region of the display unit adjacent to the second region and spaced apart from the first region.
7 . The retail shower door display assembly of claim 6 wherein each of the various hardware accessories is packaged separately.
8 . A retail shower door display system comprising a first retail shower door display assembly and a second retail shower door assembly, each according to claim 1 ;
wherein each of the frames and glass panes of the first retail shower door display assembly are sized for a first shower door size; and wherein each of the frames and glass panes of the second retail shower door display assembly are sized for a second shower door size that is different from the first shower door size.
9 . A retail shower door display system comprising a first retail shower door display assembly and a second retail shower door assembly, each according to claim 1 ;
wherein each of the frames and glass panes of the first shower door display assembly are sized for a first shower door type; and wherein each of the frames and glass panes of the second shower door display assembly are sized for a second shower door type that is different from the first shower door type.
10 . A retail shower door display system comprising:
a first retail shower door display assembly according to claim 1 ; and a second retail shower door display assembly mounted on top of the first shower door display assembly.
11 . The shower door display system of claim 10 wherein the second retail shower door display assembly comprises a shower assembly; and
wherein the shower assembly comprises:
a shower unit,
at least one shower door frame installed in the shower unit,
at least one shower door glass pane installed in the at least one shower door frame, and
at least one shower hardware accessory installed in at least one of the shower door glass pane and the shower unit.
12 . A method to display shower door assemblies for retail, the method comprising:
displaying various shower door frames for purchaser selection; and displaying various shower door glass panes for purchaser selection independent of the shower door frames.
13 . The method of claim 12 further comprising:
receiving the shower door frames from a first manufacturing facility; and
receiving the shower door glass planes from a second manufacturing facility that is different than the first manufacturing facility.
14 . The method of claim 12 further comprising:
receiving input indicative of a consumer selection of a shower door type; and
selecting a shower door assembly from the selected shower door type.
15 . The method of claim 14 further comprising:
receiving input indicative of a consumer selection of a shower door frame;
receiving input indicative of a consumer selection of a shower door glass pane; and
displaying a shower door assembly comprising the selected shower door frame and the shower door glass pane.
16 . The method of claim 12 further comprising displaying various shower hardware accessories for purchaser selection independent of the shower door frames and the shower door glass panes.
17 . A retail system for shower door assemblies, the retail system comprising:
a controller configured to:
display various shower door frames for purchaser selection,
display various shower door glass panes for purchaser selection independent of the shower door frames,
receive input indicative of a consumer selection of a shower door frame,
receive input indicative of a consumer selection of a shower door glass pane, and
select a shower door assembly based on the selected shower door frame, and the selected shower door glass pane.
18 . The retail system of claim 17 further comprising an interface in communication with the controller for manual communication of the consumer selections to the controller.
19 . The retail system of claim 17 further comprising at least one shipping facility in communication with the controller, the at least one shipping facility configured to:
store a plurality of shower door components; and
ship one of the shower door components in response to instructions from the controller.
20 . The retail system of claim 17 wherein the controller is further configured to:
display various shower hardware accessories for purchaser selection independent of the shower door frames and the shower door glass panes;
receive input indicative of a consumer selection of at least one shower door accessory; and
