Abstract
A storage container is disclosed. The storage container comprises a plurality of side panels and a tube. Each side panel includes a first lateral edge and a second lateral edge. The first lateral includes at least one attachment mechanism configured to mechanically engage a second lateral edge of an adjacent side panel. The tube is configured to be at least partially supported by an upper edge of each of the plurality of side panels.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A storage container comprising:
a plurality of side panels, each side panel including a first lateral edge and a second lateral edge, the first lateral edge including at least one attachment mechanism configured to mechanically engage a second lateral edge of an adjacent side panel; and a tub configured to be at least partially supported by an upper edge of each of the plurality of side panels.
2 . The storage container of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of side panels includes three side panels.
3 . The storage container of claim 1 , further comprising a plurality of mechanical fasteners, each mechanical fastener being configured for insertion through a portion of the tub and a through an upper edge of each side panel.
4 . The storage container of claim 1 , wherein the tub is tapered along at least a majority of its height.
5 . The storage container of claim 1 , wherein the at least one attachment mechanism of the first lateral edge of one of the side panels is configured to mechanically engage an attachment mechanism disposed on the second lateral edge of an adjacent side panel, such that each side panel includes at least one attachment mechanism on its first lateral edge and at least one attachment mechanism on its second lateral edge.
6 . The storage container of claim 5 , wherein at least one of the attachment mechanism of the first lateral edge and the attachment mechanism on the second lateral edge is stationary with respect to the side panel.
7 . The storage container of claim 5 , further comprising a base configured to mechanically engage a lower edge of each of the side panels.
8 . A method of tool-lessly assembling a cylindrical storage container, the method comprising:
providing a plurality of side panels including a first side panel and a second side panel; providing a tub and a base; connecting the first side panel and the second side panel by mechanically engaging an attachment mechanism on a first lateral side of the first side panel with a second lateral side of the second side panel; inserting the tub at least partially within the connected first and second side panels; and mechanically engaging the base with a lower portion of the connected first and second side panels.
9 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the plurality of side panels includes a third side pane, and wherein the method further comprises connecting the third side panel to the first side panel by mechanically engaging an attachment mechanism on a first lateral side of the third side panel with a second lateral side of the first side panel, and connecting the second side panel to the third side panel by mechanically engaging an attachment mechanism on a first lateral side of the second side panel with a second lateral side of the third panel.
10 . The method of claim 8 ; wherein the cylindrical container includes exactly three side panels, and wherein each side panel forms approximately 120° of the assembled container.
11 . The method of claim 10 , wherein each of the three side panels includes a first lateral edge, a second lateral edge, and a curved segment interconnecting the lateral edges.
12 . The method of claim 8 , wherein each attachment mechanism is disposed on an interior-facing portion of the side panel.
13 . The container of claim 8 , wherein the tub is approximately half the height of each side panel.
14 . A cylindrical container for holding products, the container comprising:
a plurality of side panels, each side panel including a first lateral edge, a second lateral edge, the first lateral edge including at least one attachment mechanism configured to mechanically engage a second lateral edge of an adjacent side panel; and a tub configured to be at least partially supported by an upper edge of each of the plurality of side panels.
15 . The container of claim 14 , wherein the plurality of side panels includes exactly three side panels, and wherein each side panel forms approximately 120° of the assembled container.
16 . The container of claim 14 , wherein the at least one attachment mechanism of the first lateral edge of one of the side panels is configured to mechanically engage an attachment mechanism disposed on the second lateral edge of an adjacent side panel, such that each side panel includes at least one attachment mechanism on its first lateral edge and at least one attachment mechanism on its second lateral edge.
17 . The container of claim 16 , wherein each attachment mechanism is disposed on an interior-facing portion of the side panel.
18 . The container of claim 14 , wherein the tub is approximately half the height of each side panel.
19 . The container of claim 14 , wherein each side panel includes an inwardly-directed concavity, such that the assembled container includes an inwardly-directed concave ring around its perimeter.
20 . The container of claim 14 , wherein each side panel includes a curved segment interconnecting the lateral edges.Cited by (0)
