Abstract
A slowing device for slowing scrolling speed of belt of barrier poles includes a storage unit having a rotor to which the belt is wrapped. The rotor has an axle extending therefrom and located in the room of the storage unit. The rotor scrolls the belt backward when the belt is released. The slowing device is located in the storage unit and has two braking pieces which contact the inner wall of the room due to centrifugal force so that the belt does not move at high speed and does not injure people when being pulled or retracted.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A slowing device for slowing scrolling speed of belt of barrier poles, comprising:
a storage unit having a rotor located therein, the rotor having an axle which extends into a room in the storage unit; a belt scrolled to the rotor and the rotor scrolling the belt backward when the belt is released; a slowing device located in the room and having at least two braking pieces and a guide member, the at least two braking pieces connected to two wing rods of the guide member, the guide member being secured at a center of the room, and the rotor being rotated to rotate the slowing device, the at least two braking pieces moving away from the guide member by centrifugal force and contacting an inner wall of the room to slow the belt.
2 . The device as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the at least two braking pieces each are a crescent piece, the guide member is a circular cylindrical rod and the two wing rods extend horizontally from the circular cylindrical rod of the guide member in opposite directions, each of the at least two braking pieces has a connection hole which is located corresponding to the wing rod corresponding thereto, the wing rods are connected to the connection holes of the at least two braking pieces.
3 . The device as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the room is defined by a top cap and a mediate part, the top cap has a disk and a flange extends from an underside of the disk, the flange is inserted into the recessed area of the mediate part to form the room, the at least two braking pieces contact the inner wall of the flange of the room when the rotor rotates.
4 . The device as claimed in claim 3 , wherein the top cap and the mediate part are fixed to a top of the storage unit by multiple bolts.
5 . The device as claimed in claim 3 , wherein a top of the guide member is pivotably connected to a first central hole of the top cap, the guide has a hexagonal rod extending from an underside thereof, the hexagonal rod extends through the second central hole of the mediate part, the rotor has a hexagonal hole defined in the axle and the hexagonal rod is connected to the hexagonal hole of the axle.
6 . The device as claimed in claim 3 , wherein a maximum diameter of the slowing device is 45 mm, a maximum inner diameter of the flange is 47 mm, a gap between the slowing device and the flange is 1.5 mm.
7 . The device as claimed in claim 3 , wherein a maximum depth of the recessed area of the mediate cap is 10 mm, a thickness of each of the at least two braking pieces is 7 mm, a weight of each of the at least two braking pieces is 40 grams.Cited by (0)
