Abstract

A system for and method of information encoding is presented. The system and method includes encoding information within other information of a protocol, and then decoding the information and performing actions based on the decoded information.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
11 . (canceled)

         2 . A method, comprising:
 receiving an incoming communication including one or more SIP data headers; routing the incoming communication using an automatic call distributor to a decoding system; decoding at least one of the one or more SIP data headers; determining whether the at least one of the one or more SIP data headers contains a value associated with a user preference; and subsequent to determining that the at least one of the one or more SIP data headers does not contain a value associated with a user preference, communicating a greeting despite the at least one of the one or more SIP data headers not containing a value associated with a user preference.

         3 . The method of claim 2 , wherein the one or more SIP data headers are associated with a protocol request from a network according to a voice over Internet protocol or from a telephone network.

         4 . The method of claim 2 , wherein the communicating comprises playing a greeting message according to a spoken language preference.

         5 . The method of claim 2 , wherein the communicating comprises routing the incoming communication to an operator.

         6 . The method of claim 2 , wherein the decoding comprises searching in each of the at least one of the one or more SIP data headers for encoded information comprising specific locations associated with the value contained in the SIP header or one or more codes associated with the value contained in the SIP header.

         7 . The method of claim 2 , further comprising:
 searching a data store to retrieve one or more stored greetings based on the determination that the least one of the one or more SIP headers does not contain a value associated with a user preference.

         8 . A non-transitory computer readable media comprising code to perform the acts of the method of claim 2 .

         9 . A method, comprising:
 receiving an incoming communication comprising an encoded data transmission protocol, the encoded data transmission protocol comprising one or more SIP data headers, the one or more SIP data headers comprising two or more codes; routing, electronically, the incoming communication, using an automatic call distributor, to a decoding system; decoding at least one of the one or more SIP data headers and the two or more codes contained therein; and performing multiple actions related to communicating a greeting according to each of the decoded two or more codes.

         10 . The method of claim 9 , further comprising:
 routing the incoming communication by the decoding system to one more additional systems following the decoding of and based on the decoding of at least one of the two or more codes.

         11 . The method of claim 9 , wherein each of the two or more codes is associated with at least one user preference.

         12 . The method of claim 9 , further comprising:
 transmitting the incoming communication to a SIP element following the decoding.

         13 . The method of claim 11 , wherein the performing further comprises playing a greeting message according to a spoken language preference corresponding to the at least one user preference.

         14 . The method of claim 9 , wherein at least one of the multiple actions comprises routing the incoming communication to a SIP element based on the decoding, wherein the SIP element performs an action associated with at least one of the decoded two or more codes.

         15 . A non-transitory computer readable media comprising code to perform the acts of the method of claim 9 .

         16 . A system, comprising:
 a processor; a memory comprising computer-readable instructions which when executed by the processor cause the processor to perform the steps comprising:
 receiving an incoming communication including one or more SIP data headers;
 routing the incoming communication using an automatic call distributor to a decoding system;
 decoding at least one of the one or more SIP data headers;
 determining whether the at least one of the one or more SIP data headers contains a value associated with a user preference; and
 subsequent to determining that the at least one of the one or more SIP data headers does not contain a value associated with a user preference, communicating a greeting despite the at least one of the one or more SIP data headers not containing a value associated with a user preference.

         17 . The system of claim 16 , further comprising:
 searching a data store to retrieve one or more stored greetings based on the determination that the least one of the one or more SIP headers does not contain a value associated with a user preference.

         18 . A system, comprising:
 a processor; a memory comprising computer-readable instructions which when executed by the processor cause the processor to perform the steps comprising:
 receiving an incoming communication comprising an encoded data transmission protocol, the encoded data transmission protocol comprising one or more SIP data headers, the one or more SIP data headers comprising two or more codes;
 routing, electronically, the incoming communication, using an automatic call distributor, to a decoding system;
 decoding at least one of the one or more SIP data headers and the two or more codes contained therein; and
 performing multiple actions related to communicating a greeting according to each of the decoded two or more codes.

         19 . The system of claim 18 , further comprising:
 routing the incoming communication by the decoding system to one more additional systems following the decoding of and based on the decoding of at least one of the two or more codes.

         20 . The system of claim 18 , wherein each of the two or more codes is associated with at least one user preference and the performing further comprises playing a greeting message according to a spoken language preference corresponding to the at least one user preference.

         21 . The system of claim 18 , wherein at least one of the multiple actions comprises routing the incoming communication to a SIP element based on the decoding, wherein the SIP element performs an action associated with at least one of the decoded two or more codes.
