Identity verification and document validity processing system

Abstract

An advanced record production system includes one or more devices operable to print machine readable indicia on tangible documents. The machine readable indicia include date information and automatically assigned information that is used to prevent the tangible document from being valid for more than one use. The advanced record production system also includes a registration system operable to read the tangible documents and to process the tangible documents. The registration system is further operable to maintain a record of the machine readable indicia of the tangible documents that have been processed to prevent the tangible documents from being valid for more than one use.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . An advanced record production system, comprising:
 one or more devices operable to print machine readable indicia on tangible documents, said machine readable indicia comprising date information, said machine readable indicia further comprising automatically assigned information that is used to prevent said tangible document from being valid for more than one use; and   a registration system operable to read the tangible documents and to process the tangible documents, the registration system further operable to maintain a record of the machine readable indicia of the tangible documents that have been processed to prevent said tangible documents from being valid for more than one use.
