Abstract

The present disclosure relates generally to compositions for natural and artificial nail coatings, and particularly, but not by way of limitation, to polymerizable compositions and adhesion-promoting basecoats polymerized therefrom. The disclosure further relates to methods of making a polymerized basecoat that are more easily removed than artificial nail enhancements and more durable and long lasting than nail polish coatings.

Claims

         9 . (canceled)

10 . The polymerizable composition of claim 1 , wherein said at least one at least one urethane (meth)acrylate has a molecular weight (grams/mole) of from about 100 to about 20,000.

11 . The polymerizable composition of claim 10 , wherein said at least one at least one urethane (meth)acrylate has a molecular weight of from about 200 to about 10,000.

12 . The polymerizable composition of claim 11 , wherein said at least one at least one urethane (meth)acrylate has a molecular weight of from about 300 to about 5,000.
