Abstract
The object of the present invention is to provide a technique to inhibit methanogens from producing methane. The use of Alcaligenes faecalis can inhibit methanogens from producing methane.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 - 8 . (canceled)
9 . A methanogenesis inhibitor comprising Alcaligenes faecalis which uses acetic acid as a substrate under anaerobic conditions.
10 . The methanogenesis inhibitor of claim 9 , wherein Alcaligenes faecalis is in a dried form.
11 . The methanogenesis inhibitor of claim 9 , further comprising an additive or a carrier.
12 . The methanogenesis inhibitor of claim 9 , which is used for administration to a ruminant.
13 . The methanogenesis inhibitor of claim 9 , which is applied to a paddy field, lake, or aquaculture pond.
14 . The methanogenesis inhibitor of claim 9 , wherein said Alcaligenes faecalis is Alcaligenes faecalis No. 4 (FERM BP-11247).
15 . The methanogenesis inhibitor of claim 14 , wherein said Alcaligenes faecalis No. 4 is in a dried form.
16 . The methanogenesis inhibitor of claim 14 , further comprising an additive or a carrier.
17 . The methanogenesis inhibitor of claim 14 , which is used for administration to a ruminant.
18 . The methanogenesis inhibitor of claim 14 , which is applied to a paddy field, lake, or aquaculture pond.
19 . A feed for a ruminant comprising the methanogenesis inhibitor of claim 9 .
20 . The feed for a ruminant of claim 19 , wherein said Alcaligenes faecalis is Alcaligenes faecalis No. 4.
21 . A fertilizer comprising the methanogenesis inhibitor of claim 9 .
22 . The fertilizer of claim 21 , wherein said Alcaligenes faecalis is Alcaligenes faecalis No. 4.Cited by (0)
