Abstract

A device for projecting a soft-projectile made from a super absorbent polymer, the device comprising a holder designed for containing the soft-projectile made from a super absorbent polymer; and a firing mechanism operatively arranged to accelerate the holder from a firing position.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

         1 . A system for projecting a soft-projectile comprising:
a device for projecting a soft-projectile; a magazine for holding soft-projectiles for use with the device; and wherein both the device and the magazine include a complementary locking mechanism designed to prevent access to an interior of the magazine and an interior of the device, except when the magazine and the device are mated together.

2 . The system of claim 1 , further comprising a refill container wherein the refill container includes a complementary locking mechanism designed to mate with the magazine and allow access from an interior of the refill container to an interior of the magazine only when the refill container is mated to the magazine.

3 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the complimentary locking mechanism of the magazine includes an opening that aligns with an opening in the complimentary locking mechanism of the device when the magazine and the device are mated together.

4 . The system of claim 3 , wherein the opening in the complimentary locking mechanisms of both the magazine and the device has a trap door slideably disposed behind the opening.

5 . The system of claim 4 , wherein the trap doors are biased by springs to force the trap doors over their respective openings when the magazine and projection device are not mated.

6 . The system of claim 5 , wherein the trap doors are designed to both retract against the biasing force of the corresponding springs so that the trap doors no longer block their respective openings when the magazine is mated with the device.

7 . The system of claim 6 , wherein the complementary locking mechanisms of the magazine includes a key designed to fit through a slot of the complimentary locking mechanism of the device and retract the trap door of the complimentary locking mechanism of the device when the magazine and device are mated.

8 . The system of claim 7 , wherein the complementary locking mechanisms of the device includes a key designed to fit through a slot of the complimentary locking mechanism of the magazine and retract the trap door of the complimentary locking mechanism of the magazine when the magazine and device are mated.

9 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the magazine and the device are designed to be slideably mated together.

10 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the device is a toy gun.

11 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the soft-projectiles are made from a super absorbent polymer.

12 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the complimentary locking mechanisms are separable from the magazine and the device.

13 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the complimentary locking mechanisms are integrated into the magazine and the device.

14 . The system of claim 2 , wherein the complimentary locking mechanisms on the device and the refill container are the same.
