Abstract

A method of manufacturing a windscreen-wiper blade for a motor vehicle is disclosed. The blade includes at least one mounting element in which a housing and an attachment rail are arranged parallel to the longitudinal axis of the mounting element, an elastically deformable spine arranged inside the housing of the mounting element, and a wiping strip, including a heel interlocked inside said rail of the mounting element. The method involves hot deformation of at least one longitudinal end of the mounting element, so as to immobilize the spine and the wiping strip longitudinally inside the housing and the rail of the mounting element, respectively.

         9 . A windscreen-wiper blade for a motor vehicle, the blade comprising:
 a first mounting element in a longitudinal direction in which a first housing and a first attachment rail are arranged parallel to a longitudinal axis of said first mounting element;   an elastically deformable spine arranged inside said first housing of the first mounting element; and   a wiping strip comprising a heel interlocked inside said first rail of the first mounting element,   wherein the first mounting element comprises at least one deformed longitudinal end comprising a melted plastic material that obstructs the first housing and the first rail of said deformed longitudinal end, so as to longitudinally immobilise said spine and said wiping strip in at least one direction along said longitudinal axis, respectively inside said first housing and said first rail of the first mounting element.   
     
     
         10 . The windscreen-wiper blade of  claim 9 , wherein the at least one deformed longitudinal end of the first mounting element forms an acute angle with a bottom horizontal surface of the first mounting element. 
     
     
         11 . The windscreen-wiper blade of  claim 10 , wherein the acute angle is substantially equal to 70°. 
     
     
         12 . The windscreen-wiper blade of  claim 9 , wherein the at least one deformed longitudinal end of the first mounting element has a surface that is perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the first mounting element. 
     
     
         13 . The windscreen-wiper blade of  claim 9 , wherein the at least one deformed longitudinal end of the first mounting element has a rounded symmetrical shape. 
     
     
         14 . The windscreen-wiper blade of  claim 9 , wherein the at least one deformed longitudinal end of the first mounting element comprises a non-protruding concave top wall. 
     
     
         15 . The windscreen-wiper blade of  claim 9 , wherein in a view of a transverse cross-section of the windscreen-wiper blade, the first mounting element has a symmetrical shape. 
     
     
         16 . The windscreen-wiper blade of  claim 9 , wherein in a view of a transverse cross-section of the windscreen-wiper blade, the housing is a closed contour. 
     
     
         17 . The windscreen-wiper blade of  claim 9 , wherein the first mounting element has an aerodynamic shape. 
     
     
         18 . The windscreen-wiper blade of  claim 17 , wherein the aerodynamic shape of the first mounting element contains at least one concave top wall. 
     
     
         19 . The windscreen-wiper blade of  claim 18  further comprising a linking element designed to connect the windscreen-wiper blade to a wiper arm. 
     
     
         20 . The windscreen-wiper blade of  claim 19 , wherein the linking element is provided with an aerodynamic shape that extends in a projection of the aerodynamic shape of the first mounting element. 
     
     
         21 . The windscreen-wiper blade of  claim 9 , wherein the first rail comprises a pair of longitudinally running ribs that engages longitudinally running grooves formed in the wiping strip, the longitudinally running ribs positioned on opposite sides of the wiping strip. 
     
     
         22 . The windscreen-wiper blade of  claim 9 , wherein the at least one deformed longitudinal end is formed by hot-deformation using a method selected from the group consisting of: ultrasonic sealing, contact fusion, and hot air blowing. 
     
     
         23 . The windscreen-wiper blade of  claim 9 , wherein the at least one deformed longitudinal end is formed by hot-deformation by adding material to the at least one longitudinal end by thermoplastic welding. 
     
     
         24 . The windscreen-wiper blade of  claim 19 , wherein the first mounting element is comprised of two parts each located on either side of the linking element, the linking element being positioned by a correspondence of shapes on the mounting element. 
     
     
         25 . The windscreen-wiper blade of  claim 24 , wherein the first mounting element is made out of plastic. 
     
     
         26 . The windscreen-wiper blade of claim of  claim 19  further comprising a second mounting element, wherein the first mounting element and the second mounting element are located on either side of the linking element. 
     
     
         27 . The windscreen-wiper blade of  claim 26 , wherein the first and second mounting elements are made out of plastic. 
     
     
         28 . The windscreen-wiper blade of  claim 26 ,
 wherein the second mounting element comprises a second housing and a second rail,   wherein the linking element comprises a housing and a rail,   wherein the first housing and the first rail of the first mounting element communicate respectively with the housing and the rail of the linking element, and   wherein the second housing and the second rail of the second mounting element communicate respectively with the housing and the rail of the linking element.   
     
     
         29 . A windscreen-wiper blade for a motor vehicle, the blade comprising:
 at least one mounting element in a longitudinal direction in which a housing and an attachment rail are arranged parallel to a longitudinal axis of said mounting element,   wherein the at least one mounting element comprises at least one longitudinal end;   
       an elastically deformable spine arranged inside said housing of the mounting element;
 a wiping strip comprising a heel interlocked inside said rail of the at least one mounting element; and 
 means for stopping the spine and the wiping strip at the at least one longitudinal end of the at least one mounting element,
 wherein the stopping means are cast in one-piece with the at least one mounting element.
