System and methods for trading complex financial products

Abstract

A system for managing the formation of and transactions relating to a syndicated loan is described which provides an interface for all active and prospective participants of a syndicated loan to interact with the system an each other, thereby making the syndication process more efficient and dynamic. In addition, a trading functionality is incorporated and described herein that creates a market for trading syndicated loans and disseminating information about the loans to other participants in the market.

         2 . A computer-based method for managing formation and transactions of syndicated loans, comprising the steps of:
 establishing a main admin user interface;   granting user permissions via the main admin user interface, wherein a user may be involved in one or more transactions; and   capturing the activity of a user automatically.   
     
     
         3 . The computer-based method for managing formation and transactions of syndicated loans of  claim 2 , wherein a user is at least one of a trader, an investor, a seller, a buyer, a deal manager, an underwriter, a system administrator, and a manager. 
     
     
         4 . The computer-based method for managing formation and transactions of syndicated loans of  claim 2 , wherein the main admin user interface is accessible by an administrator via a website portal. 
     
     
         5 . The computer-based method for managing formation and transactions of syndicated loans of  claim 4 , wherein the administrator performs the steps of granting the permissions. 
     
     
         6 . The computer-based method for managing formation and transactions of syndicated loans of  claim 2 , further comprising:
 tracking specific user information against specific deals.   
     
     
         7 . The computer-based method for managing formation and transactions of syndicated loans of  claim 2 , further comprising:
 providing details of a specific offering to predetermined users.   
     
     
         8 . The computer-based method for managing formation and transactions of syndicated loans of  claim 2 , further comprising:
 reporting predetermined metrics, wherein the predetermined metrics include information about a specific user and a specific transaction.   
     
     
         9 . The computer-based method for managing formation and transactions of syndicated loans of  claim 8 , wherein an administrator may view the metrics across multiple transactions. 
     
     
         10 . The computer-based method for managing formation and transactions of syndicated loans of  claim 8 , wherein an administrator may view the metrics across multiple users.

 conducting user authentication.
