Abstract

A honing tool for machining cylindrical bores has a tool body provided with a guide bore and a feed rod disposed in the guide bore. The tool body has a honing stone receptacle extending from the guide bore in a radial direction of the tool body outwardly through the tool body. A honing stone is arranged in the honing stone receptacle. A pin is disposed in the honing stone and projects laterally from the honing stone. An elongate spring is disposed in the tool body parallel to the honing stone, wherein the elongate spring element has a first end section, a central section, and a second end section opposite the first end section. The central section is guided across the pin and the first end section is secured in the radial direction in the tool body.

. The honing tool according to claim 4 , wherein the groove is shorter than the honing stone receptacle.

. The honing tool according to claim 4 , wherein the groove is longer than the first pocket.

. The honing tool according to claim 4 , wherein the groove is substantially parallel to a longitudinal axis of the feed rod or a wedge surface of the feed rod.

. The honing tool according to claim 4 , wherein the groove is embodied by two short grooves or transverse bores that, in an axial direction of the honing tool, are arranged before and behind the first pocket, respectively.

. The honing tool according to claim 4 , wherein the honing tool receptacle has a second side opposite the first side and wherein the second side is provided with a second pocket formed in the tool body.

. The honing tool according to claim 4 , wherein the pin has opposed ends projecting from two opposite faces of the honing stone, wherein the two oppositely positioned faces of the honing stone each have one of the elongate spring element arranged thereon, wherein the opposed ends of the pin and the central sections of the elongate spring elements are accommodated in the first pocket and the second pocket, respectively.

. The honing tool according to claim 10 , further comprising a bracket connecting the elongate spring elements to each other.

. The honing tool according to claim 11 , wherein the elongate spring elements and the bracket are formed of a single piece.

. The honing tool according to claim 11 , wherein the feed rod has a recess and the bracket is disposed in the recess.

. The honing tool according to claim 1 , wherein at least one of the first and second end sections has an angled end.

. The honing tool according to claim 14 , wherein the tool body or the honing stone has a groove or a cavity, wherein the groove or the cavity is engaged by the angled end.

. The honing tool according to claim 1 , wherein in the tool body a mounting opening and/or a detachably attached closure cap is provided.

. The honing tool according to claim 1 , wherein the elongate spring element is made of spring wire.

. A honing tool for machining cylindrical bores, the honing tool comprising
