Abstract
Systems and methods for creating stations by adding new media streams are provided. A system and method can include a graphical interface having a group of graphical elements associated with remotely stored media streams, and an initiation object for adding new media streams. Input corresponding to a selection of the initiation object to display new stream options can be received. Input corresponding to a selection of a new stream option can be received. A selection indication of an added new media stream can be provided. Adding a new media stream can include displaying a graphical animation that adds a graphical element associated with the new media stream to the group of graphical elements on the graphical interface.

1 . A method, comprising:
displaying, on a computing device, a graphical interface including a group of graphical elements associated with remotely stored media streams, and an initiation object for adding new media streams; receiving input corresponding to a selection of the initiation object to display new stream options; receiving input corresponding to a selection of a new stream option; and providing a selection indication of an added new media stream including displaying a graphical animation that adds a graphical element associated with the new media stream to the group of graphical elements on the graphical interface.
2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein displaying new stream options includes generating one or more new stream views, and wherein a new stream view includes one or more new stream options.
3 . The method of claim 2 , wherein the one or more new stream views include inter-related selections, wherein one new stream view includes a list view object, and wherein activating the list view object causes the graphical animation.
4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein selecting the graphical element causes the graphical element to be featured, wherein a featured graphical element includes a playing view object, wherein activating the playing view icon generates a new stream option overlay including one or more new stream options, and wherein activating a new stream option causes the graphical animation.
5 . The method of claim 4 , wherein the graphical element is featured again after the graphical animation.
6 . A method, comprising:
displaying, on a computing device, a graphical interface including a group of graphical media elements associated with locally stored media data; receiving input corresponding to an activation of a graphical media element; displaying an activation view of the graphical media element including an initiation object for adding streaming media data; receiving input corresponding to a selection of the initiation object; providing one or more media stream options for adding a new media stream associated with remotely stored streaming media data; receiving input corresponding to a selection of a new media stream option; and providing a selection indication of an added new media stream including displaying a graphical animation that adds a graphical streaming element representative of remotely stored streaming media data to the graphical interface.
7 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the one or more media stream options are displayed in a selection overlay.

The method of claim 1 , wherein the activated graphical media element has associated media data that originates from the locally stored media data, and wherein adding a graphical streaming element includes transitioning from the locally stored media data to the remotely stored streaming media data associated with the new media stream.
9 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the transition between the locally stored media data and the remotely stored streaming media data is uninterrupted.
10 . The method of claim 1 , wherein providing one or more media stream options includes generating one or more media stream views, and wherein a media stream view includes one or more media stream options.
11 . The method of claim 10 , wherein the one or more media stream views include inter-related selections, wherein one media stream view includes a list view object, and wherein activating the list view object causes the graphical animation.
12 . The method of claim 11 , wherein the graphical media element is featured when selected and after the graphical animation.
13 . A system, comprising:
a processor; a computer-readable non-transitory storage medium containing instructions which when executed on the processor, cause the processor to perform operations including: displaying a graphical interface including a group of graphical elements associated with remotely stored media streams, and an initiation object for adding new media streams; receiving input corresponding to a selection of the initiation object to display new stream options; receiving input corresponding to a selection of a new stream option; and providing a selection indication of an added new media stream including displaying a graphical animation that adds a graphical element associated with the new media stream to the group of graphical elements on the graphical interface.
14 . The system of claim 1 , wherein displaying new stream options includes generating one or more new stream views, and wherein a new stream view includes one or more new stream options.
15 . The system of claim 14 , wherein the one or more new stream views include inter-related selections, wherein one new stream view includes a list view object, and wherein activating the list view object causes the graphical animation.
16 . The system of claim 1 , wherein selecting the graphical element causes the graphical element to be featured, wherein a featured graphical element includes a playing view object, wherein activating the playing view object generates a new stream option overlay including one or more new stream options, and wherein activating a new stream option causes the graphical animation.
17 . The system of claim 16 , wherein the graphical element is featured again after the graphical animation.
18 . A system, comprising:
a processor; a computer-readable non-transitory storage medium containing instructions which when executed on the processor, cause the processor to perform operations including: displaying a graphical interface including a group of graphical media elements associated with locally stored media data; receiving input corresponding to an activation of a graphical media element; displaying an activation view of the graphical media element including an initiation object for adding streaming media data; receiving input corresponding to a selection of the initiation object; providing one or more media stream options for adding a new media stream associated with remotely stored streaming media data; receiving input corresponding to a selection of a new media stream option; and providing a selection indication of an added new media stream including displaying a graphical animation that adds a graphical streaming element representative of remotely stored streaming media data to the graphical interface.
19 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the one or more media stream options are displayed in a selection overlay.

The system of claim 1 , wherein the activated graphical media element has associated media data that originates from the locally stored media data, and wherein adding a graphical streaming element includes transitioning from the locally stored media data to the remotely stored streaming media data associated with the new media stream.
21 . The system of claim 20 , wherein the transition between the locally stored media data and the remotely stored streaming media data is uninterrupted.
22 . The system of claim 1 , wherein providing one or more media stream options includes generating one or more media stream views, and wherein a media stream view includes one or more media stream options.
23 . The system of claim 22 , wherein the one or more media stream views include inter-related selections, wherein one media stream view includes a list view object, and wherein activating the list view object causes the graphical animation.
24 . The system of claim 23 , wherein the graphical media element is featured when selected and after the graphical animation.
25 . A computer-program product, tangibly embodied in a machine-readable non-transitory storage medium, including instructions configured to cause a data processing apparatus to:
display a graphical interface including a group of graphical elements associated with remotely stored media streams, and an initiation object for adding new media streams; receive input corresponding to a selection of the initiation object to display new stream options; receive input corresponding to a selection of a new stream option; and provide a selection indication of an added new media stream including displaying a graphical animation that adds a graphical element associated with the new media stream to the group of graphical elements on the graphical interface.
26 . The computer-program product of claim 1 , wherein displaying new stream options includes generating one or more new stream views, and wherein a new stream view includes one or more new stream options.
27 . The computer-program product of claim 26 , wherein the one or more new stream views include inter-related selections, wherein one new stream view includes a list view object, and wherein activating the list view object causes the graphical animation.

The computer-program product of claim 1 , wherein selecting the graphical element causes the graphical element to be featured, wherein a featured graphical element includes a playing view object, wherein activating the playing view object generates a new stream option overlay including one or more new stream options, and wherein activating a new stream option causes the graphical animation.

30 . A computer-program product, tangibly embodied in a machine-readable non-transitory storage medium, including instructions configured to cause a data processing apparatus to:
display a graphical interface including a group of graphical media elements associated with locally stored media data; receive input corresponding to an activation of a graphical media element; display an activation view of the graphical media element including an initiation object for adding streaming media data; receive input corresponding to a selection of the initiation object; provide one or more media stream options for adding a new media stream associated with remotely stored streaming media data; receive input corresponding to a selection of a new media stream option; and provide a selection indication of an added new media stream including displaying a graphical animation that adds a graphical streaming element representative of remotely stored streaming media data to the graphical interface.
31 . The computer-program product of claim 1 , wherein the one or more media stream options are displayed in a selection overlay.

The computer-program product of claim 1 , wherein the activated graphical media element has associated media data that originates from the locally stored media data, and wherein adding a graphical streaming element includes transitioning from the locally stored media data to the remotely stored streaming media data associated with the new media stream.
33 . The computer-program product of claim 32 , wherein the transition between the locally stored media data and the remotely stored streaming media data is uninterrupted.
