Abstract

General health and wellness management techniques and devices are described including receiving data representing an activity profile defining parameters upon which a target activity score is established, acquiring sensor data representing acquired parameters based on sensors in a wearable computing device, determining values for the subsets of the acquired parameters based on reference values for the parameters set forth in the activity profile, establishing an ability profile using the values, the ability profile associated with a classification, calculating an activity score based on the values, detecting a difference between the activity score and the target activity score, modifying a rate at which the activity score accrues as a function of the difference, and presenting a representation of the activity score relative to the target activity score.

5 . The method of claim 2 , wherein the health-related activity is consumption of a consumable material, wherein consumption of the consumable material causes a reduction of the threshold amount.

6 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:
emphasizing the contribution of the identified parameter deviating by the threshold amount.

assigning a weight to amplify the value of the identified parameter deviating by the threshold amount to induce modification of the at least one acquired parameter to cause a reduction of the threshold amount.

8 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:
determining from the at least one acquired parameters a deviation from the threshold amount; and identifying a health-related condition based on the deviation from the threshold amount.

9 . The method of claim 8 , further comprising:
causing generation of data representing a recommendation to engage in a health-related activity based on the potential health-related condition; and reducing the distance between the score and the target score responsive to data representing completion of the health-related activity.

10 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:
determining data representing one or more subsets of acquired parameters is either one or more location-related parameters or one or more social-related parameters, wherein recommending the modification of the at least one acquired parameter to cause a reduction of the threshold amount is based on either the one or more location-related parameters or the one or more social-related parameters.

11 . The method of claim 1 , wherein detecting whether the at least one acquired parameter is modified further comprises:
causing generation of a notification if the at least one acquired parameter is not modified.

12 . The method of claim 1 , wherein detecting whether the at least one acquired parameter is modified further comprises:
causing generation of a notification if the recommended modification of the at least one acquired parameter to cause a reduction of the threshold amount is ignored.

         13 . An apparatus comprising:
