Abstract
A racket assembly may include a racket, and at least one sensor operatively coupled to the racket. The at least one sensor may be configured to generate a signal indicative of at least one parameter related to use of the racket. The racket assembly may also include a processor configured to receive the signal as an input and generate an output based on the signal.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 - 20 . (canceled)
21 . A method of enhancing performance in racket sports, the method comprising:
sensing information related to use of a racket during use of the racket by a first player; storing the sensed information on the racket; transferring the sensed information to a electronic device; and displaying a performance comparison between the first player and a second player based on the information transferred and racket use data collected from a second player.
22 . The method of claim 21 , wherein the electronic device is a mobile computing device.
23 . The method of claim 22 , wherein the performance comparison is displayed by the mobile computing device.
24 . The method of claim 23 , wherein the transferring is performed wirelessly.
25 . The method of claim 21 , wherein the sensed information from the first player is received at a central memory location.
26 . The method of claim 25 , wherein the sensed information from the first player is received at the central memory location via the electronic device, and the electronic device is a mobile electronic device.
27 . The method of claim 26 , wherein, before the sensed information from the first player is received at the central memory location, the data is transmitted through a first communication device operatively coupled to the racket, and through a second communication device of the electronic device.
28 . The method of claim 25 , wherein the racket use data of the second player is received at the central memory location.
29 . The method of claim 28 , wherein the racket use data collected from the second player is received at the central memory location via a second electronic device that is separate from a second racket used by the second player.
30 . The method of claim 21 , wherein the second player is a professional tennis player.
31 . The method of claim 21 , wherein the sensed information is sensed by at least one sensor assembly coupled to the racket, the sensed information being collected over a series of time periods.
32 . The method of claim 21 , wherein the sensed information is sensed by at least one sensor assembly.
33 . The method of claim 32 , wherein the at least one sensor assembly is located within a frame of the racket.
34 . A method of enhancing performance in racket sports, the method comprising:
receiving, at a central memory location, data collected by at least one sensor assembly operatively coupled to a first racket, the data being collected during use of the first racket by a first player; receiving, at the central memory location, data collected by at least one sensor assembly operatively coupled to a second racket, the data being collected during use of the second racket by a second player; calculating a performance comparison by comparing the data collected from the first player to data collected from the second player or to a predetermined ideal; and transmitting the performance comparison to an electronic device that is separate from the first and second rackets.
35 . A method of enhancing performance in racket sports, the method comprising:
sensing information related to use of a racket during use of the racket by a first player; storing the sensed information on the racket; downloading the sensed information to a mobile electronic device; and uploading the sensed information from the mobile electronic device to an Internet connected central memory location to allow the first player to compare player performance with at least a second player.
36 . The method of claim 35 , wherein the second player is a professional tennis player.
37 . The method of claim 35 , wherein the player performance comparison is displayed on the mobile electronic device.
38 . The method of claim 35 , wherein the sensed information is collected over a series of time periods.
39 . The method of claim 38 , wherein the sensed information is collected over a series of matches.
40 . The method of claim 35 , wherein the sensed information is sensed by at least one sensor assembly disposed in a handle of the racket.Cited by (0)
