Abstract

The present invention relates to pair of trousers. The trousers include an inseam panel that is continuous across the crotch and down the inside longitudinal lines of the legs, preventing the need for an actual seam on the inseam of the trousers. The inseam panel is connected to the other fabric of the trousers with seams that are disposed away from the traditional inseam location and away from the crotch area. The inseam panel increases in width from the knees to the crotch. The inseam panel is also a stretch fabric with a primary stretch direction oriented on a bias to the longitudinal direction of the inseam panel and legs of the trousers.

What is claimed is:

         1 . A pair of trousers  10  comprising:
 a torso body  100 ;
 a right leg  200  extending from the torso body  100  and ending with a right cuff  210 ;
 a left leg  300  extending from the torso body  100  and ending with a left cuff  310 ;
 a crotch  400  where the right leg  200  and the left leg  300  intersect with the torso body  100 ;
 wherein the right leg  200  has a right longitudinal interior line  220  extending from the right cuff  210  to the crotch  400  and a right knee location  230  between the right cuff  210  and the crotch  400 ;
 wherein the left leg  300  has a left longitudinal interior line  320  extending from the left cuff  310  to the crotch area  400  and a left knee location  330  between the left cuff  310  and the crotch  400 ;
 wherein the trousers 10 are formed with a inseam panel 500 extending from the right cuff 210 of the right leg 200 up the right longitudinal interior line 220 , across the crotch area 400 , and down the left longitudinal interior line 320 of the left leg 300 to the left cuff 310 , the inseam panel 500 being joined with the remainder of the fabric material of the trousers 10 at a opposite locations distant from the right longitudinal interior line 220 of the right leg 200 , the crotch 500 , and the left longitudinal interior line 320 of the left leg 300 ; and
 wherein the inseam panel 500 comprises a continuous piece of fabric material from at least the right knee location 230 of the right leg 200 to at least the left knee location 330 of the left leg 300 .

         2 . The trousers 10 according to claim 1 , wherein the inseam panel 500 comprises a continuous piece of fabric material from the right cuff 210 of the right leg 200 to the left cuff 310 of the left leg 300 .

         3 . The trousers 10 according to claim 1 , wherein the inseam panel 500 has a width that is greater in at the crotch 400 than at the right knee location 230 of the right leg 200 or the left ft knee location 330 of the left leg 300 .

         4 . The trousers 10 according to claim 3 , wherein the width of the inseam panel 500 progressively increases from the right knee location 230 of the right leg 200 to the crotch 400 , and from the left knee location 330 of the left leg 300 to the crotch 400 .

         5 . The trousers 10 according to claim 1 , wherein the inseam panel 500 comprises an elastomeric fabric material.

         6 . The trousers 10 according to claim 5 , wherein the elastomeric fabric material of the inseam panel 500 has a primary stretch direction.

         7 . The trousers 10 according to claim 6 , wherein the elastomeric fabric material of the inseam panel 500 has a stretch in the primary stretch direction of from about twenty five percent (25%) to about thirty percent (30%).

         8 . The trousers 10 according to claim 6 , wherein the primary elastomeric stretch direction is located on a bias to the right longitudinal interior line 220 of the right leg 200 and the left longitudinal interior line 310 of the left leg 300 .

         9 . The trousers 10 according to claim 8 , wherein the primary elastomeric stretch direction of the inseam panel 500 is located on a bias of from about thirty degrees (30°) to about sixty degrees (60°) with respect to the right longitudinal interior line 220 of the right leg 200 and the left longitudinal interior line 310 of the left leg 300 .

         10 . The trousers 10 according to claim 8 , wherein the primary elastomeric stretch direction of the inseam panel 500 is located on a bias of from about one-hundred twenty degrees (120°) to about one-hundred fifty degrees (150°) with respect to the right longitudinal interior 220 of the right leg 200 and the left longitudinal interior 310 of the left leg 300 .
