Abstract

In various embodiments, the invention provides enhanced structures, devices, and techniques that allow fluids and liquid products, such as cosmetics, to dispense in a more even, smoother, and more predictable manner from fluid containers.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

         1 . A covering apparatus comprising:
a housing structured for placement on a fluid dispensing apparatus, wherein the fluid dispensing apparatus comprises a fluid repository in fluid communication with a nozzle having a dispensing orifice formed therein; wherein the housing is structured for attaching to and covering at least a portion of the nozzle of the fluid dispensing apparatus; and, at least one supplemental dispensing orifice formed in the housing, wherein at least a portion of the supplemental dispensing orifice is structured to overlap with at least a portion of the dispensing orifice of the fluid dispensing apparatus when the housing is positioned on the fluid dispensing apparatus.

2 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the housing comprises an elastomeric material.

3 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the housing comprises a flexible material.

4 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the housing comprises a material having a color representative of contents of the fluid dispensing apparatus.

5 . The apparatus of claim 1 , further comprising a plurality of supplemental dispensing orifices formed in the housing.

6 . The apparatus of claim 5 , wherein the total area of the supplemental dispensing orifices is less than the area of the dispensing orifice of the fluid dispensing apparatus.

7 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein an area of the supplemental dispensing orifice is structured as a percentage of an area of the dispensing orifice of the fluid dispensing apparatus.

8 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein an area of the supplemental dispensing orifice is structured in response to a fluid viscosity.

9 . An apparatus for dispensing fluid, the apparatus comprising:
a fluid repository in fluid communication with a nozzle having a dispensing orifice formed therein; and, a cover comprising:
a housing positioned on at least a portion of the nozzle,
at least one supplemental dispensing orifice formed in the housing, wherein at least a portion of the supplemental dispensing orifice overlaps with at least a portion of the dispensing orifice, and
wherein the housing comprises an elastomeric material.
