Abstract
An electrical apparatus includes a main unit which consumes electrical power; a power supply unit which supplies electrical power from a commercial power source to the main unit; a secondary battery to be charged with electrical power supplied from the power supply unit; and a power source control unit. In a state where a power source of the main unit is the power supply unit, when power consumption of the main unit exceeds a first threshold, the power source control unit changes the state to another state where the power source of the main unit is the power supply unit and secondary battery.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . (canceled)
2 . An electrical apparatus, comprising:
a component including a CPU and a memory;
a power supply unit that supplies electrical power from a system power supply to the component;
a secondary battery to be charged with electrical power supplied from the power supply unit;
a power source control device connected to the component, the power supply unit, and the secondary battery, wherein the power source control device which,
if the remaining capacity of the secondary battery is not more than a predetermined threshold, reduces power consumption of the component to secure charging power for charging the secondary battery.
3 . The electrical apparatus according to claim 2 , wherein the power source control device which,
switches operation of the power supply unit to a low power consuming operation in which a maximum power consumption of the component is not more than a value obtained by deducting a predetermined amount of power for charging the secondary battery from the maximum available power supply of the power supply unit, and charges the secondary battery with electrical power supplied from the power supply unit.
4 . The electrical apparatus according to claim 3 , wherein the power source control device which,
when power consumption of the component exceeds a predetermined value, if remaining capacity of the secondary battery exceeds the predetermined threshold, supplies electrical power from the power supply unit and the secondary battery to the component.
5 . A power source control apparatus, connected to:
a component including a CPU and a memory;
a power supply unit that supplies electrical power from a system power supply to the component;
a secondary battery to be charged with electrical power supplied from the power supply unit;
and the power source control apparatus which,
if the remaining capacity of the secondary battery is not more than a predetermined threshold, reduces power consumption of the component to secure charging power for charging the secondary battery.
6 . The power source control apparatus according to claim 5 which,
switches operation of the power supply unit to the low power consuming operation in which a maximum power consumption of the component is not more than a value obtained by deducting a predetermined amount of power for charging the secondary battery from the maximum available power supply of the power supply unit, and charges the secondary battery with electrical power supplied from the power supply unit.
7 . The power source control apparatus according to claim 6 which, when power consumption of the component exceeds a predetermined value, if remaining capacity of the secondary battery exceeds the predetermined threshold, supplies electrical power from the power supply unit and the secondary battery to the component.
8 . A controlling method performed by an electrical apparatus having
a component including a CPU and a memory; a power supply unit that supplies electrical power from a system power supply to the component; a secondary battery to be charged with electrical power supplied from the power supply unit; wherein the controlling method which,
if the remaining capacity of the secondary battery is not more than a predetermined threshold, reduces power consumption of the component to secure charging power for charging the secondary battery.
9 . The controlling method according to claim 8 , further comprising, switching operation of the power supply unit to the low power consuming operation in which a maximum power consumption of the component is not more than a value obtained by deducting a predetermined amount of power for charging the secondary battery from the maximum available power supply of the power supply unit, and charging the secondary battery with electrical power supplied from the power supply unit.
10 . The controlling method according to claim 9 , further comprising, when power consumption of the component exceeds a predetermined value, if remaining capacity of the secondary battery exceeds the predetermined threshold, supplying electrical power from the power supply unit and the secondary battery to the component.
11 . A non-transitory computer-readable data storage medium storing a computer program comprising instructions that when executed cause a computer to function as, the computer having
a component including a CPU and a memory;
a power supply unit that supplies electrical power from a system power supply to the component;
a secondary battery to be charged with electrical power supplied from the power supply unit;
a power source control device connected to the component, the power supply unit, and the secondary battery,
wherein the power source control device which,
if the remaining capacity of the secondary battery is not more than a predetermined threshold, reduces power consumption of the component to secure charging power for charging the secondary battery.
12 . The non-transitory computer-readable data storage medium according to claim 11 , wherein
switches operation of the power supply unit to the low power consuming operation in which a maximum power consumption of the component is not more than a value obtained by deducting a predetermined amount of power for charging the secondary battery from the maximum available power supply of the power supply unit, and charges the secondary battery with electrical power supplied from the power supply unit.
13 . The non-transitory computer-readable data storage medium according to claim 12 , wherein
when power consumption of the component exceeds a predetermined value, if remaining capacity of the secondary battery exceeds the predetermined threshold, supplies electrical power from the power supply unit and the secondary battery to the component.Cited by (0)
