A comestible solid composition, the composition comprising a hardened carbohydrate in an amount sufficient to obtain a mechanically stable shape having an abrasive surface and dispersed in the composition about 0.01 to about 4 wt % of a carbon malodor absorbent and abrasive, and about 0.001 to about 1% of an active ingredient.

. The composition of claim 22 wherein the carbohydrate comprises a natural sweetener, and the composition comprises 0.01 to 2 wt % of the carbon.

. The composition of claim 22 wherein the active ingredient comprises chlorophyll.

. The composition of claim 22 wherein the composition comprises about 0.01 to about 4 wt % of glycerin.

. The composition of claim 22 wherein the active ingredient comprises a compound selected from an antimicrobial, an antihistamine, a cough suppressant, a decongestant or mixtures thereof.

. The composition of claim 26 wherein the antimicrobial comprises Chlorhexidene.

. The composition of claim 22 wherein the composition comprises 50 to 99 wt % hardened carbohydrate and dispersed in the composition, about 0.01 to about 4 wt % of a carbon malodor absorbent, and about 0.001 to about 45% of an active ingredient.

. The composition of claim 22 comprising a handle means wherein the handle means is adapted and configured such that a user can apply the cleaner to clean the oral cavity.

. The composition of claim 29 wherein the body comprises a raised abrasive surface.

. The composition of claim 30 wherein the raised abrasive surface comprises a regular array of projections having a triangular cross-section.
