Abstract

Disclosed is a telescoping pole connected to a sealing attachment that has two sealing caps, each having a tubular aperture. The sealing caps fit over the water intake ports of an outboard or a sterndrive marine motor, creating an enclosed compartment through which water can be pumped into the marine engine and outdrive. A hose runs down along the length of the telescoping pole and connects to one of the sealing caps so that water can be pumped through the hose into the engine. The present invention has connection means for both the telescoping pole and the hose on both sides of the sealing attachment, allowing the present invention to be used regardless of which side of the boat the dock is positioned on.

Claims

2 . The marine engine flushing assembly of claim 1 , further comprising a plurality of fastening means attached to said telescoping pole for securing a hose to said telescoping pole.

3 . The marine engine flushing assembly of claim 1 , further comprising a securement means attached to said telescoping pole adapted to securing said telescoping pole to a cleat or a swim platform.

4 . The marine engine flushing assembly of claim 2 , further comprising a securement means attached to said telescoping pole for securing said telescoping pole to a cleat or a swim platform.

6 . The marine engine flushing assembly of claim 1 , furthering comprising a hose attached to said quick disconnect and adapted to connect to a water source and for supplying water from said water source to water intake ports of an outboard or sterndrive marine engine through said first or second sealing cap.

7 . The marine engine flushing assembly of claim 2 , furthering comprising a hose attached to said quick disconnect and adapted to connect to a water source and for supplying water from said water source to water intake ports of an outboard or sterndrive marine engine through said first or second sealing cap.

8 . The marine engine flushing assembly of claim 3 , furthering comprising a hose attached to said quick disconnect and adapted to connect to a water source and for supplying water from said water source to water intake ports of an outboard or sterndrive marine engine through said first or second sealing cap.

9 . The marine engine flushing assembly of claim 4 , furthering comprising a hose attached to said quick disconnect and adapted to connect to a water source and for supplying water from said water source to water intake ports of an outboard or sterndrive marine engine through said first or second sealing cap.

10 . A marine engine flushing assembly, comprising:
a first and a second sealing cap adapted to removably cover water intake ports of an outboard or sterndrive marine engine, said first sealing cap having a quick disconnect adapted to connect to a water source and for supplying water from said water source to water intake ports of an outboard or sterndrive marine engine through said first sealing cap; a sealing cap support member having a first and a second arm, said first arm connected to said first sealing cap and said second arm connected to said second sealing cap; a telescoping pole having a fastening end and a handle end; a fastening adapter adapted to receive said fastening end of said telescoping pole, said first fastening adapter connected to said first arm.

11 . The marine engine flushing assembly of claim 10 , further comprising a plurality of fastening means attached to said telescoping pole for securing a hose to said telescoping pole.

12 . The marine engine flushing assembly of claim 10 , further comprising a securement means attached to said telescoping pole adapted to securing said telescoping pole to a cleat or a swim platform.

13 . The marine engine flushing assembly of claim 11 , further comprising a securement means attached to said telescoping pole for securing said telescoping pole to a cleat or a swim platform.

14 . The marine engine flushing assembly of claim 10 , furthering comprising a hose attached to said quick disconnect and adapted to connect to a water source and for supplying water from said water source to water intake ports of an outboard or sterndrive marine engine through said first or second sealing cap.

         15 .
