Abstract

Movement of an activity tracking device is detected and recorded using a motion detection component. The activity tracking device includes a band defined to secure to a part of a human body. The motion detection component is included in the band. A signal is conveyed when an amount of recorded movement of the activity tracking device has exceeded a predetermined amount of movement. The signal is conveyed by a notification component connected to the motion detection component.
