Abstract

Disclosed herein is an autonomous cleaning machine with a brush cleaning unit to clean a brush unit. The autonomous cleaning machine includes a main body, the brush unit rotatably provided on the main body, first brush cleaning members contacting the brush unit to move foreign substances wound on the brush unit in a lengthwise direction of the brush unit, and second brush cleaning members contacting the brush unit to remove the foreign substances wound on the brush unit from the brush unit.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

1 . An autonomous coverage robot comprising:
a main body including a recessed portion; a drive system disposed on the main body and configured to maneuver the robot; a brush unit disposed on the recessed portion and configured to engage a floor surface while the robot is maneuvered across the floor surface; a first brush cleaning unit including a plurality of members attached to the recessed portion and engaging the brush unit to move foreign substances wound on the brush unit in a lengthwise direction of the brush unit; and a second brush cleaning unit disposed behind the first brush cleaning unit based on the traveling direction and substantially parallel to and substantially spanning the brush unit to pick up the foreign substances wound on the brush unit.

2 . The autonomous coverage robot of claim 1 , wherein a dust collection assembly is provided in the main body and wherein the foreign substances removed from the brush unit are collected in the dust collection assembly by first brush cleaning unit and the second brush cleaning unit during the rotation of the brush unit.

3 . The autonomous coverage robot of claim 1 , wherein a dust collection assembly is provided in the main body and has a vacuum suction channel along the lengthwise direction of the brush unit, and
the second brush cleaning unit is positioned adjacent to the vacuum suction channel, so that foreign substances removed from the brush unit are collected in the dust collection assembly through the vacuum suction channel.

4 . The autonomous coverage robot of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of members include a first part and a second part, and at least one member forming the first part is inclined opposite to at least one member forming the second part.

5 . The autonomous coverage robot of claim 3 , wherein the dust collection assembly is provided with a dust entrance disposed adjacent to the brush unit for receiving dust, and the second brush cleaning unit is disposed adjacent to the dust entrance.
