Abstract
An information processing apparatus includes a selection unit configured to select a mode of processing to be executed when a power supply state of the information processing apparatus is shifted from a first power supply state to a second power supply state, a determination unit configured to determine time necessary for executing the processing based on the mode selected by the selection unit, an execution unit configured to execute the processing in the mode selected by the selection unit, and a control unit configured to control the execution unit to execute the processing again when the processing has not been completed within the time determined by the determination unit.
Claims

1 . An information processing apparatus comprising:
an execution unit configured to execute startup processing or power saving shift/return processing; and a control unit configured to control the execution unit to execute the startup processing again when the startup processing has not been completed within a first monitoring time, and to control the execution unit to execute the power saving shift/return processing again when the power saving shift/return processing has not been completed within a second monitoring time which is shorter than the first monitoring time.
2 . The information processing apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the startup processing is processing executed when power supply is started to the information processing apparatus.
3 . The information processing apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the startup processing includes an initialization mode for executing initialization processing which is needed to be executed when the information processing apparatus is started up in the first time, and a normal mode which does not need to execute the initialization processing in the startup processing.
4 . The information processing apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the power saving shift/return processing is processing when the information processing apparatus is shifted to a power saving state or power saving return processing when the information processing apparatus is returned from the power saving state.
5 . The information processing apparatus according to claim 1 , further comprising an image forming unit configured to form an image,
wherein the power saving shift/return processing includes at least either one of a temperature regulation mode for executing temperature regulation of the image forming unit in the power saving processing or the power saving return processing or a calibration mode for executing calibration of the image forming unit in the power saving processing or the power saving return processing, and a normal mode in which the temperature regulation or the calibration is not executed in the power saving processing or the power saving return processing.
6 . An information processing apparatus comprising:
an execution unit configured to execute shutdown processing or power saving shift/return processing; and a control unit configured to control the execution unit to execute the shutdown processing again when the shutdown processing has not been completed within a first monitoring time, to control the execution unit to execute the power saving shift/return processing again when the power saving shift/return processing has not been completed within a second monitoring time which is shorter than the first monitoring time.
7 . The information processing apparatus according to claim 6 , wherein the shutdown processing is processing when power supply is stopped to the information processing apparatus.
8 . The information processing apparatus according to claim 6 , further comprising a storage unit configured to store data,
wherein shutdown processing includes at least either one of a complete erasure mode for executing complete erasure of the data stored in the storage unit in the shutdown processing or a recovery mode for executing recovery of the data stored in the storage unit in the shutdown processing, and a normal mode in which the complete erasure or the recovery of the data is not executed in the shutdown processing.
9 . The information processing apparatus according to claim 6 , wherein the power saving shift/return processing is processing when the information processing apparatus is shifted to a power saving state or power saving return processing when the information processing apparatus is returned from the power saving state.
10 . The information processing apparatus according to claim 6 , further comprising an image forming unit configured to form an image,
wherein the power saving shift/return processing includes at least either one of a temperature regulation mode for executing temperature regulation of the image forming unit in the power saving processing or the power saving return processing or a calibration mode for executing calibration of the image forming unit in the power saving processing or the power saving return processing, and a normal mode in which the temperature regulation or the calibration is not executed in the power saving processing or the power saving return processing.
11 . An information processing apparatus comprising:
an execution unit configured to execute startup processing or power saving shift/return processing; and a control unit configured to restart the information processing apparatus again when the startup processing has not been completed within a first monitoring time, to restart the information processing apparatus again when the power saving shift/return processing has not been completed within a second monitoring time which is shorter than the first monitoring time.
12 . An information processing apparatus comprising:
an execution unit configured to execute shutdown processing or power saving shift/return processing; and a control unit configured to restart the information processing apparatus again when the shutdown processing has not been completed within a first monitoring time, to restart the information processing apparatus again when the power saving shift/return processing has not been completed within a second monitoring time which is shorter than the first monitoring time.
13 . An information processing method comprising:
executing startup processing or power saving shift/return processing; and controlling the executing step to execute the startup processing again when the startup processing has not been completed within a first monitoring time, and to execute the power saving shift/return processing again when the power saving shift/return processing has not been completed within a second monitoring time which is shorter than the first monitoring time.
14 . An information processing method comprising:
executing shutdown processing or power saving shift/return processing; and controlling the executing step to execute the shutdown processing again when the shutdown processing has not been completed within a first monitoring time, and to execute the power saving shift/return processing again when the power saving shift/return processing has not been completed within a second monitoring time which is shorter than the first monitoring time.
15 . An information processing method comprising:
executing startup processing or power saving shift/return processing; and restarting the information processing apparatus again when the startup processing has not been completed within a first monitoring time, and restarting the information processing apparatus again when the power saving shift/return processing has not been completed within a second monitoring time which is shorter than the first monitoring time.
16 . An information processing method comprising:
executing shutdown processing or power saving shift/return processing; and restarting the information processing apparatus again when the shutdown processing has not been completed within a first monitoring time, and restarting the information processing apparatus again when the power saving shift/return processing has not been completed within a second monitoring time which is shorter than the first monitoring time.
