Abstract
Some embodiments may provide a method comprising receiving an identification of an entity from a payment requestor and receiving authentication data associated with the entity from the payment requestor, a combination of the authentication data and the identification including data operable to facilitate a transfer of value from a first account of the entity to a second account corresponding to the payment requestor. The data identifying the first account of the entity as being inaccessible to the payment requestor.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A system comprising:
a computing device in a network-based payment system, the network-based payment system to facilitate a transfer of value in a payment amount from a first account of an entity to a second account corresponding to a payment requestor; a transfer request receipt module communicatively coupled to a network interface of the computing device, the transfer request receipt module to receive, from the payment requestor, an identification of the entity and authentication data authenticating the entity, a combination of the identification and the authentication data including data that is operable to identify the first account of the entity, the data that is operable to identify the first account of the entity being inaccessible to the payment requestor; a transaction information module communicatively coupled to the network interface of the computing device, the transaction information module to receive, from the payment requester, transaction details including the payment amount; and a communication module communicatively coupled to the network interface of the computing device, the communication module to communicate a message to the entity confirming the transfer of value.
2 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the authentication data includes a personal identification number (PIN).
3 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the authentication data includes a password.
4 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the authentication data is associated with transfer limiting data selected for association with the authentication data, the transfer limiting data establishing a constraint for the transfer of value.
5 . The system of claim 4 , wherein the constraint for the transfer of value is a constraint on a type of transfer of value.
6 . The system of claim 4 , wherein the transfer limiting data includes at least one of a group consisting of merchant limitation data, country data, transaction context data, communication mode data, a maximum value for the transfer of value, a maximum aggregate value for at least one transfer of value occurring during a period of time, a maximum aggregate value for at least one transfer of value occurring during a day, a maximum aggregate value for at least one transfer of value occurring during a week, a maximum aggregate value for at least one transfer of value occurring during a month, and a maximum aggregate value for at least one transfer of value occurring during a year.
7 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the identification of the entity is associated with a customer.
8 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the transaction details includes at least one of a group consisting of a transaction result, a source of the transfer of value, and a balance available for transfer from a source of the transfer.
9 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the data that is operable to identify the first account of the entity is encrypted.
10 . A method comprising:
receiving, from a payment requestor system, an identification of an entity and authentication data authenticating the entity, a combination of the identification and the authentication data including data that is operable to identify an first account of the entity, the data that is operable to identify the first account of the entity being inaccessible to the payment requestor system; receiving, from the payment requestor system, transaction details including a payment amount; facilitating a transfer of value in the payment amount from the first account to a second account corresponding to a payment requestor; and communicating a message to the entity confirming the transfer of value.
11 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the authentication data includes account access credentials for a network-based payment system.
12 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the identification of the entity is an email address, and wherein the authentication data includes a password.
13 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the identification of the entity is a telephone number.
14 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the identification of the entity is a name.
15 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the payment requestor system is a network-based commerce system.
16 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the transaction details include a balance available for transfer from the first account.
17 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the transaction details include a date corresponding to the transfer of value.
18 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising communicating a message to the payment requestor system confirming the transfer of value.
19 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the authentication data is associated with transfer limiting data selected by the entity for association with the authentication data, the transfer limiting data establishing a constraint for a type of transfer of value.
20 . A tangible machine-readable medium not having any transitory components and comprising a plurality of instructions that, when executed by a machine, cause the machine to perform operations comprising:
receiving, from a payment requestor system, an identification of an entity and authentication data authenticating the entity, a combination of the identification and the authentication data including data that is operable to identify an first account of the entity, the data that is operable to identify the first account of the entity being inaccessible to the payment requestor system; receiving, from the payment requestor system, transaction details including a payment amount; facilitating a transfer of value in the payment amount from the first account to a second account corresponding to a payment requestor; and communicating a message to the entity confirming the transfer of value.Cited by (0)
