Abstract

Methodologies, systems, components and software are provided that perform web analytics to measure visitor to consumer conversion continuously throughout surfing, through conversion and past completion of a purchase on-line. In accordance with at least one embodiment, such methodologies, systems, components and software may be utilized to determine efficacy of a plurality of parameters relating to one or more Transaction Related Offerings (TROs). In accordance with at least one embodiment of the invention, such methodologies, systems, components and software may be utilized to configure one or more Consumer Behavior Decision Models (CBDMs) and/or generate consumer behavior data.

         25 . A method to perform systematic analysis of consumer behavior data comprising:
 automatically monitoring, prior to, during and subsequent to at least one sales transaction, behavior of at least one consumer in the on-line environment by at least one server coupled to at least one communication network associated with the on-line environment;   generating consumer behavior data based on the monitoring; and   analyzing the generated consumer behavior data by at least one server coupled to the at least one communication network associated with the on-line environment to predict consumer behavior based on one or more parameters derived from one or more sales transaction related offerings,   wherein the monitoring of consumer behavior is performed prior to, during and subsequent to completion of the at least one sales transaction performed in the on-line environment, and the analyzing is performed based on consumer behavior data generated based on monitored behavior occurring after the at least one sales transaction, wherein the at least one sales transaction involves determining whether it is acceptable to assume some or all of a third party's obligations in the at least one sales transaction.   
     
     
         26 . The method of  claim 25 , wherein the monitoring consumer behavior is performed continuously from the at least one consumer's first exposure in the on-line environment to the one or more sales transaction related offerings. 
     
     
         27 . The method of  claim 25 , wherein one or more sales transaction related offerings includes one or more of a product, a service and advertising, each of which provides perceived or actual value to a consumer in connection with a transaction for at least the purpose of motivating the consumer to purchase products or services at the present time and/or in the future. 
     
     
         28 . The method of  claim 25 , wherein the one or more sales transaction related offerings include advertising. 
     
     
         29 . The method of  claim 25 , further comprising:
 identifying consumer behavior data from at least two different sources to identify consumer behavior data that pertains to a same consumer; and   correlating the consumer behavior data pertaining to the same consumer.   
     
     
         30 . The method of  claim 29 , wherein the at least two different sources include a seller website, a seller's website, a seller webpage, a seller's webpage, a seller's on-line environment and a consumer behavior tracking and/or monitoring mechanism. 
     
     
         31 . The method of  claim 30 , wherein the consumer behavior tracking and/or monitoring mechanism is one or more of a shared object, a cookie and code on at least one webpage being served by a seller to enable or display the transaction related offering. 
     
     
         32 . The method of  claim 25 , wherein the one or more parameters comprise one or more of:
 transaction related information necessary to bind a transaction performance guaranty to a specific transaction or provide ongoing service to a subscriber,   determining whether a claim has been made by a beneficiary, and information gathered as part of a claim,   a consumer's IP address,   a cost of the transaction related offering,   a conversion rate,   ongoing product purchases information,   related product purchases information,   transaction data,   a description of goods,   a sale price,   a shipping rate,   a shipping date,   a delivery date,   a specified payment method,   quality measures related to the goods involved,   time spent on a website or particular webpage,   click through rate,   number of page views,   point of entry,   rate of abandoned shopping carts,   average cart value,   fraud rate,   return visitors, and   data and time of creation of the transaction.   
     
     
         33 . the method of  claim 32 , wherein the transaction data includes one or more of consumer information including one or more of name, address and email address, shipping cost, shipping address, taxes, order ID, seller website url(s), payment method, payment type, pages viewed, product information on pages viewed, product information embedded website urls, product skews, consumer device type and deviceprint, and consumer browser type and version. 
     
     
         34 . A method to perform systematic analysis of consumer behavior data comprising:
 automatically monitoring, prior to, during and subsequent to at least one sales transaction, behavior of at least one consumer in the on-line environment by at least one server coupled to at least one communication network associated with the on-line environment;   generating consumer behavior data based on the monitoring; and   analyzing the generated consumer behavior data by at least one server coupled to the at least one communication network associated with the on-line environment to predict consumer behavior based on one or more parameters derived from one or more sales transaction related offerings,   wherein: the monitoring of consumer behavior is performed prior to, during and subsequent to completion of the at least one sales transaction performed in the on-line environment, the analyzing is performed based on consumer behavior data generated based on monitored behavior occurring after the at least one sales transaction, the at least one sales transaction involves determining whether it is acceptable to assume some or all of a third party's obligations in the at least one sales transaction, and the at least one sales transaction includes a transaction performance guaranty service for some or all of one party's obligations in the at least one sales transaction.   
     
     
         35 . The method of  claim 34 , wherein the transaction performance guaranty is one or more of a surety bond, a specialized bank guaranty, a specialized insurance policy, and a safe transaction guaranty. 
     
     
         36 . The method of  claim 34 , wherein the monitoring consumer behavior is performed continuously from the at least one consumer's first exposure in the on-line environment to the one or more sales transaction related offerings. 
     
     
         37 . The method of  claim 34 , wherein one or more sales transaction related offerings includes one or more of a product, a service and advertising, each of which provides perceived or actual value to a consumer in connection with a transaction for at least the purpose of motivating the consumer to purchase products or services at the present time and/or in the future. 
     
     
         38 . The method of  claim 34 , wherein the one or more sales transaction related offerings include advertising. 
     
     
         39 . The method of  claim 34 , further comprising:
 identifying consumer behavior data from at least two different sources to identify consumer behavior data that pertains to a same consumer; and   correlating the consumer behavior data pertaining to the same consumer.   
     
     
         40 . The method of  claim 39 , wherein the at least two different sources include a seller website, a seller's website, a seller webpage, a seller's webpage, a seller's on-line environment and a consumer behavior tracking and/or monitoring mechanism. 
     
     
         41 . The method of  claim 40 , wherein the consumer behavior tracking and/or monitoring mechanism is one or more of a shared object, a cookie and code on at least one webpage being served by a seller to enable or display the transaction related offering.

         44 . A method to perform systematic analysis of consumer behavior data comprising:
 automatically monitoring, prior to, during and subsequent to at least one sales transaction, behavior of at least one consumer in the on-line environment by at least one server coupled to at least one communication network associated with the on-line environment;   generating consumer behavior data based on the monitoring; and   analyzing the generated consumer behavior data by at least one server coupled to the at least one communication network associated with the on-line environment to predict consumer behavior based on one or more parameters derived from one or more sales transaction related offerings,   wherein: the monitoring of consumer behavior is performed prior to, during and subsequent to completion of the at least one sales transaction performed in the on-line environment, the analyzing is performed based on consumer behavior data generated based on monitored behavior occurring after the at least one sales transaction, the at least one sales transaction involves determining whether it is acceptable to assume some or all of a third party's obligations in the at least one sales transaction, and a safe transaction service provider determines whether it is acceptable to assume one or more obligations of a party that offers a product or a service that includes the one or more sales transaction related offerings.   
     
     
         45 . The method of  claim 44 , further comprising providing a transaction related offering graphic. 
     
     
         46 . The method of  claim 44 , wherein the monitoring consumer behavior is performed continuously from the at least one consumer's first exposure in the on-line environment to the one or more sales transaction related offerings.

The method of  claim 44 , wherein one or more sales transaction related offerings includes one or more of a product, a service and advertising, each of which provides perceived or actual value to a consumer in connection with a transaction for at least the purpose of motivating the consumer to purchase products or services at the present time and/or in the future. 
     
     
         48 . The method of  claim 44 , wherein the one or more sales transaction related offerings include advertising. 
     
     
         49 . The method of  claim 44 , further comprising:
 identifying consumer behavior data from at least two different sources to identify consumer behavior data that pertains to a same consumer; and   correlating the consumer behavior data pertaining to the same consumer.   
     
     
         50 . The method of  claim 49 , wherein the at least two different sources include a seller website, a seller's website, a seller webpage, a seller's webpage, a seller's on-line environment and a consumer behavior tracking and/or monitoring mechanism. 
     
     
         51 . The method of  claim 50 , wherein the consumer behavior tracking and/or monitoring mechanism is one or more of a shared object, a cookie and code on at least one webpage being served by a seller to enable or display the transaction related offering.
