Abstract

A bulk bag includes at least first, second, third, fourth and fifth panels. The first panel forms a first sidewall, a first bottom wall and a first opposite sidewall. The second panel is attached to the first panel and forms a second sidewall adjacent to the first sidewall, a second bottom wall adjacent to the first bottom wall and a second opposite sidewall adjacent to the first opposite sidewall. The third panel is attached to the first panel and forms a first end wall attached to the first sidewall, the first bottom wall and the first opposite sidewall. The fourth panel is attached to the second panel and forms a second end wall attached to the second sidewall, the second bottom wall and the second opposite sidewall. The fifth panel is disposed between and attached to the first and second panels to form a first compartment and a second compartment.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A bulk bag comprising:
 a first panel forming a first sidewall, a first bottom wall and a first opposite sidewall;   a second panel attached to the first panel forming a second sidewall adjacent to the first sidewall, a second bottom wall adjacent to the first bottom wall and a second opposite sidewall adjacent to the first opposite sidewall;   a third panel attached to the first panel forming a first end wall attached to the first sidewall, the first bottom wall and the first opposite sidewall;   a fourth panel attached to the second panel forming a second end wall attached to the second sidewall, the second bottom wall and the second opposite sidewall; and   a fifth panel disposed between and attached to the first panel and the second panel forming a first compartment and a second compartment.   
     
     
         2 . The bulk bag as recited in  claim 1 , wherein the first panel comprises two or more separate panels that are attached together to form the first sidewall, the first bottom wall and the first opposite sidewall. 
     
     
         3 . The bulk bag as recited in  claim 1 , wherein the second panel comprises two or more separate panels that are attached together to form the second sidewall, the second bottom wall and the second opposite sidewall. 
     
     
         4 . The bulk bag as recited in  claim 1 , wherein the fifth panel comprises a filtration screen. 
     
     
         5 . The bulk bag as recited in  claim 1 , wherein the fifth panel comprises a divider wall. 
     
     
         6 . The bulk bag as recited in  claim 1 , wherein the first panel, second panel and fifth panel are joined together with one or more seams. 
     
     
         7 . The bulk bag as recited in  claim 1 , wherein the first compartment and the second compartment are equally sized. 
     
     
         8 . The bulk bag as recited in  claim 1 , wherein the first compartment and the second compartment are not equally sized. 
     
     
         9 . The bulk bag as recited in  claim 1 , wherein the fifth panel is substantially perpendicular to the first panel and the second panel. 
     
     
         10 . The bulk bag as recited in  claim 1 , wherein the fifth panel is not perpendicular to the first panel and the second panel. 
     
     
         11 . The bulk bag as recited in  claim 1 , further comprising one or more handles attached to a top of one or more of the first end wall, the first sidewall, the first opposing sidewall, the second sidewall, the second opposing sidewall or the second end wall. 
     
     
         12 . The bulk bag as recited in  claim 11 , wherein the one or more handles are selected from the group comprising lifting loops, fabric lifting loops, tumble straps, loop hooks, buckle straps, positioning cones, stevedore straps, and webbing lift loops. 
     
     
         13 . The bulk bag as recited in  claim 11 , wherein the one or more handles comprise four handles and each handle is located proximate to a corner of the bulk bag. 
     
     
         14 . The bulk bag as recited in  claim 1 , further comprising one or more handles attached to a bottom of one or more of the first end wall, the first sidewall, the first opposing sidewall, the second sidewall, the second opposing sidewall or the second end wall. 
     
     
         15 . The bulk bag as recited in  claim 14 , wherein the one or more handles are selected from the group comprising lifting loops, fabric lifting loops, tumble straps, loop hooks, buckle straps, positioning cones, stevedore straps, and webbing lift loops. 
     
     
         16 . The bulk bag as recited in  claim 14 , wherein the one or more handles comprise four handles and each handle is located proximate to a corner of the bulk bag. 
     
     
         17 . The bulk bag as recited in  claim 1 , further comprising a spout attached to the first end wall, the first sidewall, the first bottom wall, the first opposing sidewall, the second sidewall, the second bottom wall, the second opposing sidewall or the second end wall to selectively access contents within the bulk bag, or load contents into the bulk bag, or unload contents from the bulk bag. 
     
     
         18 . The bulk bag as recited in  claim 17 , wherein the spout is selected from the group comprising an opening, a covered opening, a flap, a sling, a discharge/fill spout, a cone bottom/top, a full opening dump/duffle top, a drawstring cover, a protective cover, a fastener, and a handle. 
     
     
         19 . The bulk bag as recited in  claim 1 , further comprising a first top panel attached to the first panel, the third panel and the fifth panel to enclose the first compartment. 
     
     
         20 . The bulk bag as recited in  claim 1 , further comprising a second top panel attached to the second panel, the fourth panel and the fifth panel to enclose the second compartment. 
     
     
         21 . The bulk bag as recited in  claim 1 , further comprising a third top panel attached to the first panel, the second panel, the third panel and the fourth panel to enclose the first compartment and the second compartment. 
     
     
         22 . The bulk bag as recited in  claim 1 , further comprising a first top panel removeably attached to the first panel, the third panel and the fifth panel to enclose the first compartment. 
     
     
         23 . The bulk bag as recited in  claim 1 , further comprising a second top panel removeably attached to the second panel, the fourth panel and the fifth panel to enclose the second compartment. 
     
     
         24 . The bulk bag as recited in  claim 1 , further comprising a third top panel removeably attached to the first panel, the second panel, the third panel, the fourth panel and the fifth panel to enclose the first compartment and the second compartment. 
     
     
         25 . The bulk bag as recited in  claim 1 , wherein the body is made of one or more woven or porous materials selected from the group comprising polypropylene, micropored material, static controlled material, conductive material, metalized material, liner material, film material, foil material, coated material, tubular material, webbed material, baffle fabric, coated baffle fabric, nonflammable material, water-proof material, corrugated material, nylon, rope, jute, hemp, sisal, leather, fibers, rope-like material, twine, cloth, canvas, polyurethane, polyethylene, polyvinyl chloride (PVC), bungee cord material, polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), polyester, high-gloss polyester, synthetic rubber, natural rubber, plastic, polymer, natural fibers, synthetic fibers, other suitable materials, or any combination thereof. 
     
     
         26 . The bulk bag as recited in  claim 1 , further comprising:
 one or more sixth panels disposed between and attached to the second panel and the fourth panel, wherein each sixth panel forms an additional sidewall between the second sidewall and the second end wall, an additional bottom wall between to the second bottom wall and the second end wall, and an additional opposite sidewall between to the second opposite sidewall and the second end wall; and   one or more seventh panels disposed between the second panel and each sixth panel forming one or more additional compartments between the second compartment and the second end wall.   
     
     
         27 . A method of manufacturing a bulk bag comprising the steps of:
 attaching a first panel, a second panel and a fifth panel together to form a first sidewall, a second sidewall adjacent to the first sidewall, a first bottom wall, a second bottom wall adjacent to the first bottom wall, a first opposite sidewall, a second opposite sidewall adjacent to the first opposite sidewall, wherein the fifth panel is disposed between and attached to the first panel and the second panel to form a first compartment and a second compartment;   attaching a third panel to the first panel to form a first end wall attached to the first sidewall, the first bottom wall and the first opposite sidewall; and   attaching a fourth panel to the second panel to form a second end wall attached to the second sidewall, the second bottom wall and the second opposite sidewall.   
     
     
         28 . The method as recited in  claim 27 , wherein the first panel comprises two or more separate panels that are attached together to form the first sidewall, the first bottom wall and the first opposite sidewall. 
     
     
         29 . The method as recited in  claim 27 , wherein the second panel comprises two or more separate panels that are attached together to form the second sidewall, the second bottom wall and the second opposite sidewall. 
     
     
         30 . The method as recited in  claim 27 , wherein the fifth panel comprises a filtration screen. 
     
     
         31 . The method as recited in  claim 27 , wherein the fifth panel comprises a divider wall. 
     
     
         32 . The method as recited in  claim 27 , wherein the first panel, second panel and fifth panel are attached together with one or more seams. 
     
     
         33 . The method as recited in  claim 27 , wherein the first compartment and the second compartment are equally sized.

         38 . The method as recited in  claim 37 , wherein the one or more handles are selected from the group comprising lifting loops, fabric lifting loops, tumble straps, loop hooks, buckle straps, positioning cones, stevedore straps, and webbing lift loops. 
     
     
         39 . The method as recited in  claim 37 , wherein the one or more handles comprise four handles and each handle is located proximate to a corner of the bulk bag. 
     
     
         40 . The method as recited in  claim 27 , further comprising the step of attaching one or more handles to a bottom of one or more of the first end wall, the first sidewall, the first opposing sidewall, the second sidewall, the second opposing sidewall or the second end wall. 
     
     
         41 . The method as recited in  claim 40 , wherein the one or more handles are selected from the group comprising lifting loops, fabric lifting loops, tumble straps, loop hooks, buckle straps, positioning cones, stevedore straps, and webbing lift loops. 
     
     
         42 . The method as recited in  claim 40 , wherein the one or more handles comprise four handles and each handle is located proximate to a corner of the bulk bag. 
     
     
         43 . The method as recited in  claim 27 , further comprising the step of attaching a spout to the first end wall, the first sidewall, the first bottom wall, the first opposing sidewall, the second sidewall, the second bottom wall, the second opposing sidewall or the second end wall to selectively access contents within the bulk bag, or load contents into the bulk bag, or unload contents from the bulk bag. 
     
     
         44 . The method as recited in  claim 43 , wherein the spout is selected from the group comprising an opening, a covered opening, a flap, a sling, a discharge/fill spout, a cone bottom/top, a full opening dump/duffle top, a drawstring cover, a protective cover, a fastener, and a handle. 
     
     
         45 . The method as recited in  claim 27 , further comprising the step of attaching a first top panel to the first panel, the third panel and the fifth panel to enclose the first compartment. 
     
     
         46 . The method as recited in  claim 27 , further comprising the step of attaching a second top panel to the second panel, the fourth panel and the fifth panel to enclose the second compartment. 
     
     
         47 . The method as recited in  claim 27 , further comprising the step of attaching a third top panel to the first panel, the second panel, the third panel, the fourth panel and the fifth panel to enclose the first compartment and the second compartment. 
     
     
         48 . The method as recited in  claim 27 , further comprising the step of removeably attaching a first top panel to the first panel, the third panel and the fifth panel to enclose the first compartment. 
     
     
         49 . The method as recited in  claim 27 , further comprising the step of removeably attaching a second top panel to the second panel, the fourth panel and the fifth panel to enclose the second compartment. 
     
     
         50 . The method as recited in  claim 27 , further comprising the step of removeably attaching a third top panel to the first panel, the second panel, the third panel and the fourth panel to enclose the first compartment and the second compartment. 
     
     
         51 . The method as recited in  claim 27 , wherein the body is made of one or more woven or porous materials selected from the group comprising polypropylene, micropored material, static controlled material, conductive material, metalized material, liner material, film material, foil material, coated material, tubular material, webbed material, baffle fabric, coated baffle fabric, nonflammable material, water-proof material, corrugated material, nylon, rope, jute, hemp, sisal, leather, fibers, rope-like material, twine, cloth, canvas, polyurethane, polyethylene, polyvinyl chloride (PVC), bungee cord material, polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), polyester, high-gloss polyester, synthetic rubber, natural rubber, plastic, polymer, natural fibers, synthetic fibers, other suitable materials, or any combination thereof. 
     
     
         52 . The method as recited in  claim 27 , further comprising the steps of:
 attaching one or more sixth panels between the second panel and the fourth panel, wherein each sixth panel forms an additional sidewall between the second sidewall and the second end wall, an additional bottom wall between to the second bottom wall and the second end wall, and an additional opposite sidewall between to the second opposite sidewall and the second end wall; and   attaching one or more seventh panels between the second panel and each sixth panel to form one or more additional compartments between to the second compartment and the second end wall.
