Computer graphics processing methods and systems for presentation of graphics objects or text in a wagering environment
Abstract
Various systems, methods, and computer-readable media are provided for validating a bet request based on another bet request. Betting product information about a betting product may be communicated to at least one user. A first request for a first wager associated with the betting product may be received from a first user. A second request for a second wager is received from a second user. The first betting request may be validated. At least one processor may determine that a numerical term associated with the second bet request is within a non-zero range from a corresponding numerical term associated with the validated first bet request. The second bet request may be validated based on this determination. A bet associated with the first bet request and a bet associated with the second bet request may be settled.

receive from a first user a first request for a first wager associated with the betting product, the first request comprising a first betting term;
receive from a second user a second request for a second wager, the second request comprising a second betting term;
validate the first betting request;
determine that a numerical term associated with the second bet request is within a non-zero range from a corresponding numerical term associated the validated first bet request;
validate the second bet request based on the act of determining that a numerical term associated with the second bet request is within a non-zero range from a corresponding numerical term associated the validated first bet request; and
settle a bet associated with the first bet request and a bet associated with the second bet request.
41 . The apparatus of claim 40 , wherein validating the first bet request comprises applying at least one validation test selected from the group consisting of:
determining if the betting product exists; determining if the betting product is active; determining if the betting product is tradeable; and determining if the first bet request exceeds a limitation.
42 . The apparatus of claim 40 , wherein validating the first bet request comprises determining whether a term associated with the first bet request differs from the betting product information communicated to the at least one user.
43 . The apparatus of claim 40 , wherein validating the first bet request comprises determining whether a term associated with the first bet request differs from data about the betting product communicated to the at least one user within a predetermined period of time from receipt of the first bet request.
44 . The apparatus of claim 40 , wherein validating the first bet request comprises determining whether a term associated with the first bet request differs by more than a predetermined amount from the betting product information communicated to the at least one user.
45 . The apparatus of claim 40 ,
wherein the second bet request is validated based on a betting line value associated with the second bet request being within a range from a betting line value associated with the validated first bet request.
46 . The apparatus of claim 40 , wherein the second bet request is validated based on odds associated with the second bet request being within a range from odds associated with the validated first bet request.
47 . The apparatus of claim 40 , wherein the second bet request is validated based on a time associated with the second bet request being within a range from a time associated with the first bet request.
48 . The apparatus of claim 40 , in which the instructions, when executed by the at least one processor, further direct the at least one processor to:
responsive to validating the first bet request, creating a betting instrument for the validated first bet request; and responsive to validating the second bet request, creating a betting instrument for the validated second bet request.
49 . The apparatus of claim 40 , in which the instructions, when executed by the at least one processor, further direct the at least one processor to:
resolve bets received in the first betting session based on at least one value determined at an end of the first betting session; and start a second betting session substantially at the end of the first betting session.
50 . The apparatus of claim 40 , wherein the betting product comprises at least one of an up bet and a down bet relative to a betting line value.
51 . The apparatus of claim 50 , in which the instructions, when executed by the at least one processor, further direct the at least one processor to:
determine odds for at least one of an up bet betting product and a down bet betting product, the betting product information comprising the odds for the at least one of the up bet betting product and the down bet betting product.
52 . The apparatus of claim 50 , wherein the betting line value is set at a start of and remains unchanged for at least the first betting session, in which the instructions, when executed by the at least one processor, further direct the at least one processor to:
determine odds for at least one of the up bet betting product and the down bet betting product, wherein the odds for the at least one of the up bet betting product and the down bet betting product vary for at least a portion of the first betting session based at least on changes in a reference variable value associated with the betting line value, and wherein the betting product information comprises the odds for the at least one of the up bet betting product and the down bet betting product.
53 . The apparatus of claim 50 , in which the instructions, when executed by the at least one processor, further direct the at least one processor to:
determine odds for the at least one of the up bet betting product and the down bet betting product, wherein the odds remain unchanged for at least the first betting session, and wherein the betting line value varies for at least a portion of the first betting session; and determine a betting line value at a plurality of times during the first betting session including a first time, wherein the betting product information comprises the betting line value at the first time and the odds for the at least one of the up bet betting product and the down bet betting product.
54 . A method comprising:
communicating, by at least one processor, betting product information about a betting product to at least one user; receiving, by the at least one processor, from a first user a first request for a first wager associated with the betting product, the first request comprising a first betting term; receiving, by the at least one processor, from a second user a second request for a second wager, the second request comprising a second betting term; validating, by the at least one processor, the first betting request; determining, by the at least one processor, that a numerical term associated with the second bet request is within a non-zero range from a corresponding numerical term associated the validated first bet request; validating, by the at least one processor, the second bet request based on the act of determining that a numerical term associated with the second bet request is within a non-zero range from a corresponding numerical term associated the validated first bet request; and settling, by the at least one processor, a bet associated with the first bet request and a bet associated with the second bet request.
55 . The method of claim 54 , wherein validating the first bet request comprises applying at least one validation test selected from the group consisting of:
determining if the betting product exists; determining if the betting product is active; determining if the betting product is tradeable; and determining if the first bet request exceeds a limitation.
56 . The apparatus of claim 54 ,
wherein the second bet request is validated based on comparing a value associated with the second bet request with a corresponding value associated with the validated first bet request, and wherein the value comprises one of odds, a time, and a betting line value.
57 . The apparatus of claim 54 , wherein the betting line value is set at a start of and remains unchanged for at least the first betting session, in which the instructions, when executed by the at least one processor, further direct the at least one processor to:
determine odds for at least one of the up bet betting product and the down bet betting product, wherein the odds for the at least one of the up bet betting product and the down bet betting product vary for at least a portion of the first betting session based at least on changes in a reference variable value associated with the betting line value, and wherein the betting product information comprises the odds for the at least one of the up bet betting product and the down bet betting product.
58 . The apparatus of claim 54 , in which the instructions, when executed by the at least one processor, further direct the at least one processor to:
determine odds for the at least one of the up bet betting product and the down bet betting product, wherein the odds remain unchanged for at least the first betting session, and wherein the betting line value varies for at least a portion of the first betting session; and determine a betting line value at a plurality of times during the first betting session including a first time, wherein the betting product information comprises the betting line value at the first time and the odds for the at least one of the up bet betting product and the down bet betting product.
