Depilatory compositions

Abstract

A depilatory cream composition including a depilatory active, an emollient selected from at least one of mineral oil and emollient esters, and one or more of a talc and polyamide resin.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A depilatory cream composition comprising:
 a depilatory active;   an emollient selected from at least one of mineral oil and emollient esters; and   one or more of a talc and polyamide resin.   
     
     
         2 . The composition of  claim 1  further comprising a humectant. 
     
     
         3 . The composition of  claim 2 , wherein the polyamide resin comprises a Nylon-12 resin. 
     
     
         4 . The composition of  claim 2  comprising 2 to 20 weight % of the depilatory active. 
     
     
         5 . The composition of  claim 2  comprising 1 to 10 weight % of the emollient. 
     
     
         6 . A depilatory cream composition comprising:
 a depilatory active, an emollient comprising a mineral oil and an emollient ester, wherein the emollient is present at a concentration greater than about 5 weight %; and   a skin-feel enhancing agent comprising over 5 weight % of talc.   
     
     
         7 . The composition of  claim 6 , wherein the polyamide resin is a Nylon-12 resin; and 
     
     
         8 . The composition of  claim 6 , wherein the emollient ester comprises pentaerythrityl tetraisostearate. 
     
     
         9 . The composition of  claim 6  further comprising a humectant. 
     
     
         10 . The composition of  claim 9 , wherein the humectant is glycerine. 
     
     
         11 . The composition of  claim 6  comprising 1 to 5 weight % of the skin-feel enhancing agent. 
     
     
         12 . The composition of  claim 6  comprising 2 to 20 weight % of the depilatory active. 
     
     
         13 . The composition of  claim 6 , wherein the emollient is present at a concentration of about 7 weight %. 
     
     
         14 . A depilatory cream composition consisting essentially of:
 a depilatory active;   an emollient comprising a mineral oil and an emollient ester, wherein the emollient is present at a concentration greater than about 5 weight % to about 10 weight %; and   a skin-feel enhancing agent.   
     
     
         15 . The composition of  claim 14 , wherein the skin-feel enhancing agent comprises polyamide resin. 
     
     
         16 . The composition of  claim 14 , wherein the polyamide resin comprises a Nylon-12 resin. 
     
     
         17 . The composition of  claim 14 , wherein the skin-feel enhancing agent comprises 5-10 weight % of talc. 
     
     
         18 . The composition of  claim 14 , wherein the emollient ester comprises pentaerythrityl tetraisostearate. 
     
     
         19 . A depilatory cream composition consisting essentially of:
 a depilatory active;   an emollient comprising a mineral oil and an emollient ester;   a skin feel enhancing agent comprising 5-10 weight % of talc; and   a humectant.   
     
     
         20 . The composition of  claim 19 , wherein the humectant is glycerine. 
     
     
         21 . The composition of  claim 19  comprising 2 to 20 weight % of the depilatory active, and wherein the emollient is present at a concentration of about 7 weight %.
