Abstract
A system and method of occluding a reproductive body lumen to prevent the passage of reproductive cells through body lumen is disclosed. The system can include a catheter delivery system having a handle device, a catheter operatively coupled with the handle device, and an occluding device adapted for deployment within the body lumen. The handle device can include a damper device adapted to reduce the vibration on the handle device from deployment of the occluding device from the catheter. Further, the handle device can include an indexing member operatively coupled with the catheter to provide indexing of the catheter.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 .- 9 . (canceled)
10 . A catheter delivery system for deploying an occluding device in a reproductive body lumen, comprising:
a catheter; an occluding device provided at a distal portion of the catheter, the occluding device configured for deployment within the reproductive body lumen; a handle device operatively coupled with the catheter, the handle device including;
an actuator;
an interface to operatively couple the handle device with the catheter;
at least one stop device extending within the handle device; and
an indexing member operatively coupled with the catheter, the indexing member having one or more slots engageable with the stop device to provide indexing of the operatively coupled catheter.
11 . The system of claim 10 , wherein the indexing member further includes one or more longitudinal grooves engageable with a portion of the handle device to restrict rotational movement of the operatively coupled catheter.
12 . The system of claim 10 , wherein the one or more slots includes two slots engageable with the stop device.
13 . The system of claim 10 , further including a sheath member operatively coupled with the catheter and the indexing member.
14 . The system of claim 13 , further including a grip portion adapted to facilitate manual manipulation of the sheath member.
15 . The system of claim 10 , wherein the handle device comprises a clam-shell construction having one or more removable cover portions.
16 - 18 . (canceled)
19 . A method of deploying an occluding device in a reproductive body lumen, comprising:
providing a catheter; providing an occluding device; providing a handle device operatively coupled with the catheter, the handle device including an indexing member operatively coupled with the catheter; operatively securing the occluding device to a portion of the catheter; and deploying the occluding device within the reproductive body lumen such that the indexing member provides indexing of the operatively coupled catheter.
20 . The method of claim 19 , wherein providing the handle with the indexing member includes providing an indexing member having one or more slotted portions engageable with a stop member of the handle device.Cited by (0)
