Abstract
Methods, systems and computer program products for evaluating a score for a particular user of network-based services. In one method, advertisements are provides on webpage(s) of the user. The webpage(s) may include content generated by the user. Advertising revenue generated by the webpage(s) is calculated and a score is assigned to the user based on the calculated advertising revenue.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 - 20 . (canceled)
21 . A method comprising:
providing, via a computing device, an advertisement on a webpage of a network-based service provider, said webpage comprising at least a portion of content generated by a user; calculating, via the computing device, advertising revenue generated by the webpage of the network-based service provider; calculating, via the computing device, profit from the one or more web pages, said profit based in part upon a number of connections the webpage has with other users; and determining, via the computing device, a score for the user based at least in part on the calculated advertising revenue and the calculated profit.
22 . The method of claim 21 , wherein said connections correspond to said other users interacting with the content generated by the user.
23 . The method of claim 21 , wherein the score provides an indication of a monetary value associated with the network-based service provider's webpage.
24 . The method of claim 21 , wherein the score provides an indication of a monetary value of the user generated content on said webpage.
25 . The method of claim 21 , wherein the advertisement revenue is based on at least one of cost per impression and cost per click.
26 . The method of claim 21 further comprising:
evaluating probable future revenue associated with the web page, said probable future revenue based at least in part on the determined score.
27 . The method of claim 26 , wherein evaluating the probable future revenue comprises:
calculating an average revenue generated from visitors, the average revenue is calculated revenue divided by number of visitors to the one or more webpages; and determining the probable future revenue by mathematical modeling, the mathematical modeling is based at least in part on the number of visitors and the average revenue generated from the visitor.
28 . The method of claim 27 , wherein the visitors have social ties with user using connections provided by the network-based service provider.
29 . The method of claim 21 , wherein the profit calculation further comprises:
calculating a cost associated with the one or more webpages; and subtracting the cost from the calculated revenue.
30 . The method of claim 29 , wherein the cost associated with the one or more web pages further comprises a cost associated with the maintenance cost associated with the one or more webpages.
31 . The method of claim 21 , wherein providing advertisements on a webpage comprises providing targeted advertisements based at least in part of a behavior of the user and one or more visitors to the webpage.
32 . The method of claim 21 , wherein the content comprises at least one of a multimedia content, text content, audio content, or visual content.
33 . A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium tangibly encoded with computer-executable instructions, that when executed by a computer, perform a method comprising:
providing an advertisement on a webpage of a network-based service provider, said webpage comprising at least a portion of content generated by a user; calculating advertising revenue generated by the webpage of the network-based service provider; calculating profit from the one or more web pages, said profit based in part upon a number of connections the webpage has with other users; and determining a score for the user based at least in part on the calculated advertising revenue and the calculated profit.
34 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 33 , wherein said connections correspond to said other users interacting with the content generated by the user.
35 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 33 , wherein the score provides an indication of a monetary value associated with the network-based service provider's webpage.
36 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 33 , wherein the score provides an indication of a monetary value of the user generated content on said webpage.
37 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 33 further comprising:
evaluating probable future revenue associated with the web page, said probable future revenue based at least in part on the determined score, said evaluation comprising:
calculating an average revenue generated from visitors, the average revenue is calculated revenue divided by number of visitors to the one or more webpages; and
determining the probable future revenue by mathematical modeling, the mathematical modeling is based at least in part on the number of visitors and the average revenue generated from the visitor.
38 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 33 , wherein the profit calculation further comprises:
calculating a cost associated with the one or more webpages; and subtracting the cost from the calculated revenue,
wherein the cost associated with the one or more web pages further comprises a cost associated with the maintenance cost associated with the one or more webpages.
39 . A system comprising:
at least one computing device comprising: memory storing computer-executable instructions; and one or more processors for executing said computer-executable instructions, comprising:
providing an advertisement on a webpage of a network-based service provider, said webpage comprising at least a portion of content generated by a user;
calculating advertising revenue generated by the webpage of the network-based service provider;
calculating profit from the one or more web pages, said profit based in part upon a number of connections the webpage has with other users; and
determining a score for the user based at least in part on the calculated advertising revenue and the calculated profit.
40 . The system of claim 39 , wherein said connections correspond to said other users interacting with the content generated by the user.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
