Claims

Abstract

The present invention provides pharmaceutical compositions comprising at least one polypeptide having GLP-1 activity wherein an effective dose of said pharmaceutical composition comprises 15 mg, 30 mg, 50 mg or 100 mg of said polypeptide having GLP-1 activity. Also provided are methods of administering the pharmaceutical compositions of the invention.

1 . A pharmaceutical composition comprising a polypeptide consisting of the amino acid sequence set forth in SEQ ID NO:1 wherein an effective dose of said pharmaceutical composition comprises 50 mg of said polypeptide. 
     
     
         2 . The pharmaceutical composition of  claim 1  further comprising mannitol, trehalose dihydrate, polysorbate 80, and phosphate buffer. 
     
     
         3 . The pharmaceutical composition of  claim 1  wherein the pH of said composition is 7.2. 
     
     
         4 . A pharmaceutical composition consisting of about 50 mg of a polypeptide having the amino acid sequence set forth in SEQ ID NO:1, 2.8% mannitol, 4.2% trehalose dihydrate, 0.01% polysorbate 80, about 10 mM to about 20 mM phosphate buffer and water for injection. 
     
     
         5 . The pharmaceutical composition of  claim 4 , wherein the pH of said composition is 7.2.
