Abstract
A user communicates, such as through text, a phrase or word to quickly place and pay for an order. The phrase corresponds to details of the order and one phrase can contain orders with multiple merchants. Once the phrase is communicated, a service provider or merchant determines the order from the phrase and processes the order, which may include transmitting order details to the merchant(s) and processing the payment(s) to the merchant(s) on behalf of the user.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A system of processing an order, comprising:
a memory storing information about a user account, wherein the information comprises a phrase associated with the user account and identifying an order with at least two merchants; and one or more processors in communication with the memory and operable to cause the system to:
access the user account based on information about a user or a user device;
receive, through the user device, a phrase associated with the order, wherein the phrase is unique to the order with the at least two merchants;
determine details of the order from the phrase associated with the user account; and
process the order comprising debiting an account of the user with a payment provider and crediting an account of the at least two merchants associated with the order.
2 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the phrase is a word.
3 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the phrase is received by the at least two merchants.
4 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the phrase is received by a payment provider.
5 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the phrase is received by a third party service provider.
6 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the phrase is communicated by the user through a social network.
7 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the phrase is communicated by the user through a website.
8 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the phrase is communicated by the user through an email.
9 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the phrase is selected from a drop down menu or list of user phrases.
10 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the phrase is communicated by voice through the user device.
11 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the one or more processors is further operable to cause the system to receive a revision from the user to the order.
12 . The system of claim 4 , wherein the processing comprises transmitting the details to the at least two merchants and making a payment to the at least two merchants on behalf of the user.
13 . A non-transitory machine-readable medium comprising a plurality of machine-readable instructions which when executed by one or more processors of a server are adapted to cause the server to perform a method comprising:
accessing the user account based on information about a user or a user device; receiving a phrase associated with the order, wherein the phrase is unique to the order with the at least two merchants; determining details of the order from the phrase associated with the user account; and processing the order comprising debiting an account of the user with a payment provider and crediting an account of the at least two merchants associated with the order.
14 . The non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 13 , wherein the phrase is selected by the user and contains fewer characters than in the order.
15 . The non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 13 , wherein the processing comprises transmitting the details to the at least two merchants and making a payment to the at least two merchants on behalf of the user.
16 . The non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 13 , wherein the phrase is received by text.
17 . The non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 13 , wherein the method further comprises requesting a confirmation of the details from the user.
18 . The non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 17 , wherein the method further comprises receiving one or more edits of the order from the user.
19 . The non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 12 , wherein the method further comprises setting up the phrase.
20 . The non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 19 , wherein the setting up comprises:
receiving details of the order; receiving the phrase from the user; and storing the details and the phrase with an account of the user.
21 . The non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 12 , wherein the details comprise a merchant identifier and information about one or more items or services to be purchased from each of the at least two merchants.Cited by (0)
