Abstract

A control apparatus for an internal combustion engine equipped with an idling stop mechanism and a supercharger. The control apparatus is provided with: a controlling device which is configured to detect atmospheric pressure and to change a threshold value of a parameter which allows idling stop processing to be performed by the idling stop mechanism, to a side on which the idling stop processing is not allowed, as the detected atmospheric pressure has a lower value, in order to suppress an excessive increase in temperature of a catalyst.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A control apparatus for an internal combustion engine equipped with an idling stop mechanism and a supercharger, said control apparatus comprising:
a controlling device which is configured to detect atmospheric pressure and to change a threshold value of a parameter which allows idling stop processing to be performed by the idling stop mechanism, to a side on which the idling stop processing is not allowed, as the detected atmospheric pressure has a lower value, wherein the parameter is temperature of a catalyst disposed in an exhaust passage of the internal combustion engine equipped with the supercharger.

         2 . (canceled)
