Organizing social activity information on a site
Abstract
A system and method for organizing social activity information on a website is disclosed. The system comprises a feed serving module and a presentation module. The feed serving module is configured to receive one or more user inputs for one or more activities associated with the social activity information. The feed serving module aggregates the social activity information based at least in part on the one or more user inputs to form aggregated social activity information. The presentation module is communicatively coupled to the feed serving module and is configured to receive the aggregated social activity information from the feed serving module. The presentation module generates a graphic associated with the aggregated social activity information and sends the graphic to a client.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A method comprising:
receiving one or more user inputs associated with social activity information describing an action taken on a website; determining one or more unique sources for the one or more user inputs; and filtering the social activity information based at least in part on the one or more unique sources to form filtered social activity information, wherein filtering the social activity information based at least in part on the one or more unique sources comprises determining a first set of the social activity information associated with a first unique source and allocating a first portion of display space for displaying the first set of the social activity information.
2 . The method of claim 3 , wherein the unique source is a user with a unique user name.
3 . The method of claim 3 , wherein the unique source is a video with a unique video ID.
4 . The method of claim 3 , wherein determining the one or more unique sources for the one or more user inputs comprises:
determining one or more sources for the one or more user inputs; and determining the one or more unique sources from the one or more sources.
5 . A system comprising:
a processing device; and a memory coupled to the processing device, the memory to store:
a front end interface, executable by the processing device, to receive one or more user inputs associated with social activity information describing an action taken on a website; and
a feed serving module, executable by the processing device, to determine one or more unique sources for the one or more user inputs and filter the social activity information based at least in part on the one or more unique sources to form filtered social activity information, wherein to filter the social activity information based at least in part on the one or more unique sources, the feed serving module to determine a first set of the social activity information associated with a first unique source and to allocate a first portion of display space for displaying the first set of the social activity information.
6 . The system of claim 5 , wherein the unique source is a user with a unique user name.
7 . The system of claim 5 , wherein the unique source is a video with a unique video ID.
8 . The system of claim 5 , wherein to determine the one or more unique sources for the one or more user inputs, the feed serving module further to:
determine one or more sources for the one or more user inputs; and determine the one or more unique sources from the one or more sources.
9 . A non-transitory machine-readable storage medium storing instructions which, when executed, cause a processing device to perform operations comprising:
receiving one or more user inputs associated with social activity information describing an action taken on a website; determining one or more unique sources for the one or more user inputs; and filtering the social activity information based at least in part on the one or more unique sources to form filtered social activity information, wherein filtering the social activity information based at least in part on the one or more unique sources comprises determining a first set of the social activity information associated with a first unique source and allocating a first portion of display space for displaying the first set of the social activity information.
10 . The non-transitory machine-readable storage medium of claim 9 , wherein the unique source is a user with a unique user name.
11 . The non-transitory machine-readable storage medium of claim 9 , wherein the unique source is a video with a unique video ID.
12 . The non-transitory machine-readable storage medium of claim 9 , wherein determining the one or more unique sources for the one or more user inputs comprises:
determining one or more sources for the one or more user inputs; and determining the one or more unique sources from the one or more sources.Cited by (0)
