Abstract
The inventions disclosed herein include devices and methods that allow users to couple a digital media player to a display screen. Some embodiments position the digital media player along a bottomside of the screen. Some embodiments position the digital media player along a topside of the screen. In several embodiments, the digital media player is positioned approximately horizontally such that the digital media player is oriented approximately parallel to the floor of the room.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedThe invention claimed is:
1 . A mounting device for coupling a digital media player to a screen, the mounting device comprising:
an arm configured to couple to the screen, the screen including a screenside, a backside, a topside, and a bottomside, the screenside is configured to project images and is located at an opposite side of the screen as the backside, the topside and bottomside are located at opposite vertical ends of the screen; and a tray configured to couple to the arm and configured to support the digital media player along the bottomside of the screen.
2 . The mounting device of claim 1 , wherein the screen is a television.
3 . The mounting device of claim 1 , wherein the screen is a computer monitor.
4 . The mounting device of claim 1 , wherein the arm is configured to couple to the backside of the screen.
5 . The mounting device of claim 4 , wherein the arm is coupled to the backside of the screen via adhesive.
6 . The mounting device of claim 4 , wherein the arm is coupled to the backside of the screen via fabric hook-and-loop fasteners.
7 . The mounting device of claim 4 , wherein the arm is coupled to the backside of the screen via one or more magnets.
8 . The mounting device of claim 4 , wherein the arm is coupled to the backside of the screen via one or more screws, wherein the screws are threaded into the backside of the screen.
9 . The mounting device of claim 1 , wherein the tray and arm are configured to accommodate any size digital media player.
10 . The mounting device of claim 1 , wherein the arm is configured to be shortened or lengthened, thereby allowing the tray to be vertically adjustable with respect to the bottomside of the screen.
11 . The mounting device of claim 1 , wherein the coupling between the arm and the tray is configured to allow the tray to be horizontally adjustable with respect to the screenside of the screen.
12 . The mounting device of claim 1 , wherein the tray is rotatably coupled to the arm, thereby allowing the tray to be rotated in any direction with respect to the screenside of the screen.
13 . The mounting device of claim 1 , wherein the arm is optional, and further comprising one or more hook members that are slidably coupled to the arm or the tray, wherein the one or more hooks are configured to couple to the backside, the topside, or the bottomside of the screen, and wherein the one or more hooks are configured to support the tray and the digital media player.
14 . The mounting device of claim 13 , wherein the one or more hooks are coupled to one or more vents located on the backside of the television.
15 . A mounting device configured to couple a digital media player to a screen, the screen including a screenside configured to project images, the screenside located at an opposite side of the screen as a backside, and a topside and a bottomside located at opposite vertical ends of the screen, the mounting device comprising:
an arm configured to couple to the backside, bottomside, or topside of the screen via adhesive; and a tray configured to couple to the arm and configured to support the digital media player.
16 . The mounting device of claim 15 , wherein the arm is configured to couple to the backside of the screen.
17 . The mounting device of claim 15 , wherein the screen is a television.
18 . The mounting device of claim 15 , wherein the screen is a computer monitor.
19 . The mounting device of claim 15 , wherein the adhesive is an adhesive pad or adhesive strip.
20 . The mounting device of claim 15 , wherein the tray and arm are configured to accommodate any size digital media player.
21 . The mounting device of claim 15 , wherein the arm is configured to be shortened or lengthened, thereby allowing the tray to be vertically adjustable with respect to the topside or bottomside of the screen.
22 . The mounting device of claim 15 , wherein the coupling between the arm and the tray is configured to allow the tray to be horizontally adjustable with respect to the screenside of the screen.
23 . The mounting device of claim 15 , wherein the tray is rotatably coupled to the arm, thereby allowing the tray to be rotated in any direction with respect to the screenside of the screen.
24 . A mounting device for coupling a digital media player to a screen, the mounting device comprising:
a base portion; at least two outside walls that are configured to support the digital media player; and an arm that is coupleed to the base portion, wherein the arm is configured to rotate and extend with respect to the base portion, and wherein the arm is configured to couple to the screen.
25 . The mounting device of claim 24 , further comprising adhesive that is coupleed to the arm, wherein the adhesive is configured to couple the arm to the screen.
26 . The mounting device of claim 25 , wherein the at least two outside walls substantially conform to the shape of the digital media player.Cited by (0)
