Abstract

The invention features methods for treating a patient diagnosed with, or at risk of developing, a neovascular disorder by administering a PDGF antagonist and a VEGF antagonist to the patient. The invention also features a pharmaceutical composition containing a PDGF antagonist and a VEGF antagonist for the treatment or prevention of a neovascular disorder.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 - 18 . (canceled)

19 . A composition comprising an effective amount of:
 (a) a PDGF antagonist, wherein the PDGF antagonist is an antibody or binding fragment thereof; and (b) a VEGF antagonist, wherein the VEGF antagonist is an antibody or binding fragment thereof.

20 . The composition of claim 19 , wherein the PDGF antagonist is a PDGF-B antagonist.

21 . The composition of claim 19 , wherein the PDGF antagonist is a PDGFR antagonist.

22 . The composition of claim 21 , wherein the PDGFR antagonist is a PDGFR-beta antagonist.

23 . The composition of claim 19 , wherein the VEGF antagonist is an anti-VEGF antibody or binding fragment thereof.

24 . The composition of claim 23 , wherein the anti-VEGF antibody or binding fragment thereof binds to VEGF-A.

25 . The composition of claim 24 wherein the anti-VEGF antibody or binding fragment thereof binds to human VEGF-A.

26 . The composition of claim 23 , wherein the anti-VEGF antibody or binding fragment thereof has:
 (i) a heavy chain variable domain comprising the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 26 and a light chain variable domain comprising the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 27, or (ii) a light chain variable domain comprising the sequence of SEQ ID NO: 25 and a heavy chain variable domain comprising the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 24.

27 . The composition of claim 19 , wherein the VEGF antagonist is 2C3.

28 . The composition of claim 21 , wherein the PDGFR antagonist is APB5.
