Packaging and kit for windshield wipers and windshield wiper accessories

Abstract

A kit for connecting a wiper blade and a wiper arm, the kit including a container that includes: a first panel having a first interior surface; a first enclosure attached to the first interior surface; a second panel having a second interior surface; and a second enclosure attached to the second interior surface. The container further including a hinge attached to the first panel and the second panel. The kit including a wiper blade contained in an interior of the first enclosure and a connector for attaching the wiper blade to a wiper arm, wherein the connector is contained in an interior of the second enclosure.

We claim: 
     
         1 . A kit for connecting a wiper blade and a wiper arm, the kit comprising:
 a container comprising:
 a first panel comprising a first interior surface; 
 a first enclosure attached to said first interior surface; 
 a second panel comprising a second interior surface; 
 a second enclosure attached to said second interior surface; 
 a hinge attached to said first panel and said second panel; 
   a wiper blade contained in an interior of said first enclosure;   a connector for attaching said wiper blade to a wiper arm, wherein said connector is contained in an interior of said second enclosure.   
     
     
         2 . The kit of  claim 1 , wherein said first enclosure and said second enclosure are transparent. 
     
     
         3 . The kit of  claim 1 , wherein either said first interior surface or said second interior surface comprises indicia that contains information regarding use of said wiper blade and/or said connector. 
     
     
         4 . The kit of  claim 1 , wherein said first enclosure comprises a first structure to engage a second structure of said second panel. 
     
     
         5 . The kit of  claim 4 , wherein said first structure comprises an indent and said second structure is a protrusion. 
     
     
         6 . The kit of  claim 1 , further comprising a transparent window formed in said second panel that allows a user to view said interior of said second enclosure. 
     
     
         7 . The kit of  claim 1 , wherein when said first panel is pivoted about said hinge so that said first interior surface faces said second interior surface and said first enclosure is positioned adjacent to said second enclosure. 
     
     
         8 . The kit of  claim 1 , further comprising an end cap that covers an end defined by said first panel, said hinge and said second panel. 
     
     
         9 . The kit of  claim 1 , further comprising a handle attached to either said first panel or said second panel. 
     
     
         10 . The kit of  claim 7 , further comprising:
 a third panel hingedly attached to said second panel, wherein said third panel engages an exterior side of said first panel so as to attach said first panel to said third panel.   
     
     
         11 . A container comprising:
 a first panel comprising a first interior surface;   a first enclosure attached to said first interior surface;   a second panel comprising a second interior surface;   a second enclosure attached to said second interior surface; and   a hinge attached to said first panel and said second panel.   
     
     
         12 . The container of  claim 11 , wherein said first enclosure and said second enclosure are transparent. 
     
     
         13 . The container of  claim 11 , wherein said first enclosure comprises a first structure to engage a second structure of said second panel. 
     
     
         16 . The container of  claim 13 , wherein said first structure comprises an indent and said second structure is a protrusion. 
     
     
         17 . The container of  claim 11 , further comprising a transparent window formed in said second panel that allows a user to view said interior of said second enclosure. 
     
     
         18 . The container of  claim 11 , wherein when said first panel is pivoted about said hinge so that said first interior surface faces said second interior surface and said first enclosure is positioned adjacent to said second enclosure. 
     
     
         19 . The container of  claim 11 , further comprising an end cap that covers an end defined by said first panel, said hinge and said second panel. 
     
     
         20 . The container of  claim 11 , further comprising a handle attached to either said first panel or said second panel. 
     
     
         21 . The container of  claim 18 , further comprising:
 a third panel hingedly attached to said second panel, wherein said third panel engages an exterior side of said first panel so as to attach said first panel to said third panel.   
     
     
         22 . The container of  claim 21 , further comprising an end cap that covers an end defined by said first panel, said hinge said second panel and said third panel. 
     
     
         23 . A kit for connecting a wiper blade and a wiper arm, the kit comprising:
 a container comprising:
 a panel comprising:
 a first exterior surface; 
 a second exterior surface that faces opposite said first exterior surface, 
 
 a first enclosure attached to said first exterior surface; 
 a second enclosure attached to said first exterior surface; and 
 wherein said exterior surface has an opening that is in fluid communication with an interior of said first enclosure; 
 a cover removably attached to said second exterior surface so as to expose said opening when at least partially removed from second exterior surface; 
 a wiper blade contained in an interior of said second enclosure; 
 a connector for attaching said wiper blade to a wiper arm, wherein said connector is contained in said interior of said first enclosure. 
   
     
     
         24 . The kit of  claim 23 , wherein said first enclosure and said second enclosure are transparent. 
     
     
         25 . The kit of  claim 23 , wherein said cover comprises indicia that contains information regarding use of said connector. 
     
     
         26 . The kit of  claim 23 , further comprising a handle attached to said panel. 
     
     
         27 . The kit of  claim 23 , wherein said second exterior surface comprises a perforated line that allows for said first enclosure to be easily separated from said second enclosure along said perforated line. 
     
     
         28 . A container comprising:
 a panel comprising:
 a first exterior surface; and 
 a second exterior surface that faces opposite said first exterior surface; 
 a first enclosure attached to said first exterior surface, wherein said exterior surface has an opening that is in fluid communication with an interior of said first enclosure; 
 a second enclosure attached to said first exterior surface; and 
   a cover removably attached to said second exterior surface so as to expose said opening when at least partially removed from second exterior surface.   
     
     
         29 . The container of  claim 28 , wherein said first enclosure and said second enclosure are transparent. 
     
     
         30 . The container of  claim 28 , further comprising a handle attached to said panel. 
     
     
         31 . The container of  claim 28 , wherein said second exterior surface comprises a perforated line that allows for said first enclosure to be easily separated from said second enclosure along said perforated line. 
     
     
         32 . A kit for connecting a wiper blade and a wiper arm, the kit comprising:
 a container comprising:
 a panel; 
 an enclosure attached to said panel, wherein said enclosure has an indentation that extends toward said panel; 
 a cover removably attached to either said panel or said enclosure, wherein said cover at least partially covers said indentation; 
   a wiper blade contained in an interior of said enclosure;   a connector for attaching said wiper blade to a wiper arm, wherein said connector is contained in said indentation and said cover prevents said connector from being removed from said indentation.   
     
     
         33 . The kit of  claim 32 , wherein said cover is sticker wrap. 
     
     
         34 . The kit of  claim 33 , wherein said cover is at least partially transparent so that said connector is visible to a user. 
     
     
         35 . The kit of  claim 32 , further comprising a retainer that is located within said indentation, wherein a surface of said indentation and said retainer define an interior space in which said connector is located, and wherein said cover prevents said retainer from being removed from said indentation. 
     
     
         36 . The kit of  claim 34 , wherein said retainer is transparent, and said cover allows a user to view said retainer. 
     
     
         37 . The kit of  claim 32 , wherein said enclosure is transparent. 
     
     
         38 . The kit of  claim 32 , wherein said cover comprises indicia that contains information regarding use of said connector. 
     
     
         39 . The kit of  claim 32 , further comprising a handle attached to said panel. 
     
     
         40 . A container comprising:
 a panel;   an enclosure attached to said panel, wherein said enclosure has an indentation that extends toward said panel; and   a cover removably attached to either said panel or said enclosure, wherein said cover at least partially covers said indentation, wherein said cover prevents an object placed within said indentation from being removed from said indentation.   
     
     
         41 . The container of  claim 40 , wherein said cover is sticker wrap. 
     
     
         42 . The container of  claim 41 , wherein said cover is at least partially transparent so that an object placed within said indentation is visible to a user. 
     
     
         43 . The container of  claim 40 , further comprising a retainer that is located within said indentation, wherein a surface of said indentation and said retainer define an interior space, and wherein said cover prevents said retainer from being removed from said indentation. 
     
     
         44 . The container of  claim 43 , wherein said retainer is transparent, and said cover allows a user to view said retainer. 
     
     
         45 . The container of  claim 40 , wherein said enclosure is transparent. 
     
     
         45 . The container of  claim 40 , further comprising a handle attached to said panel. 
     
     
         46 . A kit for connecting a wiper blade and a wiper arm, the kit comprising:
 a container having an opening that allows access to a first interior volume of said container, said container comprising a cap that is inserted into said opening and engages a surface of said container so as to prevent access to said interior volume, wherein said cap comprises:
 a wall that defines a second interior volume; and 
 a removable cover that prevents access to said second interior when at a first position and allows access to said second interior when at a second position; 
   a wiper blade contained in said first interior volume; and   a connector for attaching said wiper blade to a wiper arm, wherein said connector is contained in said second interior volume.   
     
     
         47 . The kit of  claim 46 , wherein said removable cover comprises an adhesive that adheres said cover to a portion of said cap. 
     
     
         48 . The kit of  claim 46 , wherein said container is transparent. 
     
     
         49 . The kit of  claim 46 , wherein said cap comprises indicia that contains information regarding use of said connector. 
     
     
         50 . The kit of  claim 46 , wherein said cap has a nested structure comprising:
 an insertion portion that is inserted into said opening and engages said container so as to prevent access to said interior volume, wherein said insertion portion comprises a second wall that defines a third interior volume; and   an end portion that engages said insertion portion by being inserted within said third interior volume, wherein said end portion comprises said wall that defines said second interior volume.   
     
     
         51 . The kit of  claim 50 , wherein said third interior volume contains a second connector. 
     
     
         52 . A container comprising:
 a surface having an opening that allows access to a first interior volume of said container;   a cap that is inserted into said opening and engages said surface so as to prevent access to said interior volume, wherein said cap comprises:
 a wall that defines a second interior volume; and 
 a removable cover that prevents access to said second interior when at a first position and allows access to said second interior when at a second position. 
   
     
     
         53 . The container of  claim 52 , wherein said removable cover comprises an adhesive that adheres said cover to a portion of said cap. 
     
     
         54 . The container of  claim 52 , wherein said container is transparent. 
     
     
         55 . The container of  claim 52 , wherein said cap has a nested structure comprising:
 an insertion portion that is inserted into said opening and engages said container so as to prevent access to said interior volume, wherein said insertion portion comprises a second wall that defines a third interior volume; and   an end portion that engages said insertion portion by being inserted within said third interior volume, wherein said end portion comprises said wall that defines said second interior volume.
