Abstract

Disclosed herein are posterior-lifting garments for supporting a buttocks of a wearer, the posterior-lifting garments comprising a pant garment comprising a lift attachment positioned at an upper portion of the pant garment above the buttocks of the wearer; and a posterior-lifting article having a first end and a second end; wherein the first end of the posterior-lifting article is attached to a lower portion of the pant garment; and wherein the second end of the posterior-lifting article is configured to attach to the lift attachment and to provide traction pulling the lower portion of the pant garment toward the upper portion of the pant garment so as to more closely conform the pant garment to the buttocks and provide support for the buttocks. Methods of assembling the posterior-lifting garments are also disclosed.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A posterior-lifting garment for supporting a buttocks of a wearer, the posterior-lifting garment comprising:
 a pant garment comprising a lift attachment positioned at an upper portion of the pant garment above the buttocks of the wearer; and   a posterior-lifting article having a first end and a second end;   wherein the first end of the posterior-lifting article is attached to a lower portion of the pant garment; and   wherein the second end of the posterior-lifting article is configured to attach to the lift attachment and to provide traction pulling the lower portion of the pant garment toward the upper portion of the pant garment so as to more closely conform the pant garment to the buttocks and provide support for the buttocks.   
     
     
         2 . The posterior-lifting garment of  claim 1 , wherein the posterior-lifting article comprises elastic. 
     
     
         3 . The posterior-lifting garment of  claim 1 , wherein the pant garment further comprises a guide member; and
 wherein the posterior-lifting article is configured to extend along the guide member of the pant garment.   
     
     
         4 . The posterior-lifting garment of  claim 3 , wherein the guide member comprises a channel or a sleeve. 
     
     
         5 . The posterior-lifting garment of  claim 4 , wherein the pant garment is a pair of pants, a pair of jeans, or a pair of shorts. 
     
     
         6 . The posterior-lifting garment of  claim 4 , wherein the pant garment comprises denim, twill, or woven fabric. 
     
     
         7 . The posterior-lifting garment of  claim 4 , wherein the pant garment further comprises a crotch seam, and
 wherein the guide member is on a posterior side of the crotch seam.   
     
     
         8 . The posterior-lifting garment of  claim 4 , wherein the guide member is attached to the pant garment using one of a group consisting of sewing, adhering, zipping, buttoning, snapping, heat sealing, welding, gluing, bonding, laser cutting, and combinations thereof. 
     
     
         9 . The posterior-lifting garment of  claim 4 , wherein the guide member comprises denim, twill, woven fabric, knit fabric, spandex, elastic, or a mixture thereof. 
     
     
         10 . The posterior-lifting garment of  claim 4 , wherein the pant garment further comprises an inseam and a crotch seam, and
 wherein the guide member is configured to extend along the pant garment from the inseam up a posterior side of the crotch seam by a length of from 4 inches to 20 inches.   
     
     
         11 . The posterior-lifting garment of  claim 4 , wherein the pant garment further comprises an inseam and a yoke, and
 wherein the guide member is configured to extend along the pant garment from the inseam to the yoke.   
     
     
         12 . The posterior-lifting garment of  claim 4 , wherein the pant garment further comprises an inseam and a waistband, and
 wherein the guide member is configured to extend along the pant garment from the inseam to the waistband.   
     
     
         13 . The posterior-lifting garment of  claim 4 , wherein the pant garment further comprises an inseam, a first back pocket on the posterior of the pant garment and a second back pocket on the posterior of the pant garment layer, and
 wherein the guide member is configured to extend along the pant garment from the crotch seam to a level even with a top of the back pockets, or to the top of the waist edge.   
     
     
         14 . The posterior-lifting garment of  claim 4 , wherein the pant garment further comprises a waistband, and
 wherein the lift attachment is attached to the waistband.   
     
     
         15 . The posterior-lifting garment of  claim 14 , wherein the lift attachment comprises a button, a buttonhole, a snap, a snap eyelet, a hook, a hook eye, a fastener, Velcro, a rivet, or a stud. 
     
     
         16 . The posterior-lifting garment of  claim 4 , wherein the pant garment comprises one, two, or three lift attachments. 
     
     
         17 . The posterior-lifting garment of  claim 4 , wherein the posterior-lifting article comprises a stretch cord, an elastic pull, or a woven ribbon. 
     
     
         18 . The posterior-lifting garment of  claim 4 , wherein the pant garment further comprises a crotch seam, and
 wherein the first portion of the posterior-lifting article is attached to the crotch seam of the pant garment.   
     
     
         19 . The posterior-lifting garment of  claim 4 , wherein the pant garment further comprises an inseam, and
 wherein the first portion of the posterior-lifting article is attached to the inseam of the pant garment.   
     
     
         20 . The posterior-lifting garment of  claim 4 , wherein the first portion of the posterior-lifting article is attached to the inside of the guide member of the pant garment. 
     
     
         21 . The posterior-lifting garment of  claim 4 , wherein the second portion of the posterior-lifting article comprises a button, a buttonhole, a snap, a snap eyelet, a hook, a hook eye, a fastener, Velcro, a rivet, or a stud. 
     
     
         22 . The posterior-lifting garment of  claim 4 , wherein the length of the guide member decreases in length by at least 10% when the second portion of the posterior-lifting article is attached to the lift attachment. 
     
     
         23 . The posterior-lifting garment of  claim 22 , wherein the length of the guide member decreases in length by at least 25% when the second portion of the posterior-lifting article is attached to the lift attachment. 
     
     
         24 . The posterior-lifting garment of  claim 23 , wherein the length of the guide member decreases in length by at least 35% when the second portion of the posterior-lifting article is attached to the lift attachment. 
     
     
         25 . The posterior-lifting garment of  claim 4 , wherein the posterior-lifting article does not include padding or a fabric sling under the buttocks of the wearer. 
     
     
         26 . A method of assembling a posterior-lifting garment, the method comprising:
 attaching a lift attachment to a pant garment; and   attaching a first portion of a posterior-lifting article to the pant garment,   wherein a second end of the posterior-lifting article is configured to attach to the lift attachment and to provide traction pulling the lower portion of the pant garment toward the upper portion of the pant garment.   
     
     
         27 . The method of  claim 26 , further comprising positioning the posterior-lifting article within a guide member, attaching the guide member to the pant garment, and attaching the first portion of the posterior-lifting article to the pant garment or to the guide member of the pant garment. 
     
     
         28 . The method of  claim 27 , wherein the guide member comprises a channel or a sleeve. 
     
     
         29 . The method of  claim 28 , wherein the pant garment is a pair of pants, a pair of jeans, a pair of shorts, or leggings. 
     
     
         30 . The method of  claim 28 , wherein the pant garment comprises denim, twill, woven fabric, or knit fabric. 
     
     
         31 . The method of  claim 28 , wherein the pant garment further comprises a crotch seam, and
 wherein the guide member is positioned on a posterior side of the crotch seam.   
     
     
         32 . The method of  claim 28 , wherein the guide member is positioned on the inside of the posterior side of the crotch seam. 
     
     
         33 . The method of  claim 28 , wherein the guide member is attached to the pant garment using one of a group consisting of sewing, adhering, zipping, buttoning, snapping, heat sealing, welding, gluing, bonding, laser cutting, and combinations thereof. 
     
     
         34 . The method of  claim 28 , wherein the guide member is sewn to the pant garment using a single-needle chain stitch, zigzag stitch, or cover stitch. 
     
     
         35 . The method of  claim 28 , wherein the guide member comprises denim, twill, woven fabric, knit fabric, spandex fabric, cotton fabric, elastic, or a mixture thereof. 
     
     
         36 . The method of  claim 28 , wherein the pant garment further comprises an inseam and a crotch seam, and
 wherein the guide member is attached to the pant garment from the inseam up a posterior side of the crotch seam by a length of from 4 inches to 20 inches.   
     
     
         37 . The method of  claim 28 , wherein the pant garment further comprises an inseam and a yoke, and
 wherein the guide member is attached to the pant garment from the inseam to the yoke.   
     
     
         38 . The method of  claim 28 , wherein the pant garment further comprises an inseam and a waistband, and
 wherein the guide member is attached to the pant garment from the inseam to the waistband.   
     
     
         39 . The method of  claim 28 , wherein the pant garment further comprises an inseam, a first back pocket on the posterior of the pant garment and a second back pocket on the posterior of the pant garment layer, and
 wherein the guide member is attached to the pant garment from the crotch seam to a level even with a top of the back pockets or up to the top of the waistband.   
     
     
         40 . The method of  claim 28 , wherein the pant garment further comprises a waistband, and
 wherein the lift attachment is attached to the waistband.   
     
     
         41 . The method of  claim 28 , wherein the lift attachment comprises a button, a buttonhole, a snap, a snap eyelet, a hook, a hook eye, a fastener, Velcro, a rivet, or a stud. 
     
     
         42 . The method of  claim 28 , wherein the pant garment comprises one, two, or three lift attachments. 
     
     
         43 . The method of  claim 28 , wherein the posterior-lifting article comprises a stretch cord, an elastic pull, or a woven ribbon 
     
     
         44 . The method of  claim 28 , wherein the pant garment further comprises a crotch seam, and
 wherein the first portion of the posterior-lifting article is attached to the crotch seam of the pant garment.   
     
     
         45 . The method of  claim 28 , wherein the pant garment further comprises an inseam, and
 wherein the first portion of the posterior-lifting article is attached to the inseam of the pant garment.   
     
     
         46 . The method of  claim 28 , wherein the first portion of the posterior-lifting article is attached to the inside of the guide member of the pant garment. 
     
     
         47 . The method of  claim 28 , wherein the second portion of the posterior-lifting article comprises a button, a buttonhole, a snap, a snap eyelet, a hook, a hook eye, a fastener, Velcro, a rivet, or a stud. 
     
     
         48 . The method of  claim 28 , wherein the method does not include attaching padding or attaching a fabric sling under the buttocks of the wearer.
